If you want to actually net things out with respect to foreign holders, for every dollar of US debt that's owned by a foreign country, we own something like 89 cents of foreign debt. Our debt is super cheap and the USD is the world reserve currency: http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedi...Currencies.png So if you're going to assess how much debt is good/bad, you need to do it with some context if you're going to defend your point. Why do you think someone who has his particular experience is qualified to run a country? Do you think running a business and a company are comparable? Do you think the goals are the same, and how those goals are achieved? Why do you think Romney's policies would result in rapid growth? (I'm not asking these rhetorically. I'm asking you to defend your position) Quote:
Also, if you're going to talk about what Obama promised, it helps to look at what he actually said (see sources here): http://www.politifact.com/truth-o-me...nemployment-w/ Lastly, do you see how that upward trend in unemployment started before Obama even took office? What do you think finally allowed for the turnaround? Are you aware how spending is dictated, and how much of that spending was the result of pre-Obama legislature? If so, I find it hard to believe you'd be pinning Obama for this. Quote:

Do I have to bust out the data for this one or will you save me the trouble? Quote:
http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedi...9e868c5144.png http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedi..._-_FY_2011.png And are you aware of the cost of the problems that have occurred as a result of needless interference? You say you dislike spending but you're OK with something like this at the expense of everything else? Why don't you take a look at this and tell me what you think seriously needs to be cut: http://www.nytimes.com/interactive/2...us/budget.html Quote:

yeah i know
And from the looks of it, Obama will be taking both Ohio and Florida. Maybe it's just because I live on the conservative side of Florida, and my FB News Feed is filled with #Romney2012, but I think the notion of it being 'close' will be probably be silenced by the time we hit the west coast. |

political arguments ahoy!
Huffington has it 124 to 154, Romney. EDIT: FOX analysts just projected Obama to win PA -- 147 to 149, now. EDIT: holy shit, the difference in votes in the state of Florida... Last edited by TC_Halogen; 11-6-2012 at 09:21 PM.. |

Based on the current electoral map, Obama's almost certain to win (mathematically/statistically speaking).
FOUR MORE BEERS Halogen: Yeah Florida is pretty much a coin toss (quite literally around ~50% one way or the other) |

If Romney doesn't win Florida, it's definitely over.
Anyone have an update on Virginia? What percentage of the votes are in? Last edited by Abstract Art; 11-6-2012 at 09:38 PM.. |
