It's good to see the progress made. Feels like this crisis was years ago.

The images are very powerful when put next to each other like that. Also inspiring, somewhat...

Amazing [four or so pics down] that the boat could be lifted onto that tall of building.
Just astonishing what a tsunami can do.

these photos are remarkable. never would've imagined so much restoration to occur in just 6 months. I initially thought it'd take at least double that amount of time

Those pictures are pretty amazing. In South Carolina, there's this road they're trying to make from 2 lanes into 4 lanes, and it's already been over a year and it isn't finished yet. 6 months for Japan, and they've done so much more.

I can't get the page to load for some reason.
Also it probably doesn't feel like years ago if you're in Japan right now. :/

This is the same country that recreated CITIES after the nuclear bomb.
I expected no less. Just total amazement at such dedication to get everything back.

Up to 20 million tons of the debris, all of it potentially toxic, are floating across the Pacific Ocean in an area estimated to be twice the size of Texas.

That's bigger than the Great Pacific Garbage Patch o_0 Seems slightly exaggerated... if anything, some of the debris should collide with that patch. Last edited by Evnoir; 10-25-2011 at 03:36 PM.. |
