Area 51 was originally used for experimental jet testing, but now it is used for experimental air-to-space planes. My uncle actually works there and he is allowed to say that much.

Because people who do aren't allowed to suggest that they do publicly.

Now, I agree with you, however, there is strong evidence against the whole 1969 moon landing. The fact that Russia was about 2 years ahead of NASA in terms of Space technology...and the gap never closed. Then, suddenly we (the U.S.) were on the moon.

http://www.cnn.com/SPECIALS/cold.war.../frameset.html

But I believe the people who believe we never landed on the moon are loony.

We landed on the moon. I have a very thick book which I've read cover to cover, disproving and explaining every stupid thing every stupid person has tried to use to prove the U.S didn't land on the moon.

The bottom half of the lunar module thing is still up there, along with their rover and U.S Flag. A satellite can fly by and take pics easily... or maybe they already have...

Other countries should have seen something by now, they're landing stuff on the moon aren't they?

Just some ideas, I lack the knowledge to elaborate on them though.

i wasnt saying that to say that we hadn't, i was just wondering if the whole debate was finished. i always have thought we landed on the moon, i was just wondering if people still debated it. it doesnt really matter if we did or not anyways. it's not like we did anything there, just landed.

also, i would like to say i think it's funny how people come here and expect to be believed when they say retarded things AND have very low post counts. anybody with any sense at all should play it safe for their first batch of posts, so they can get established and not seem like total newbs. unfortunately, it would appear that most people are morons. i'd expect better out of the critical thinking forum...

as for Area 51, who knows what it's used for. hell, we cant even know for sure if it's used for anything. the government has all sorts of places where they test new stuff to work all the kinks out. any organization has stuff that they test secretly so that they can work all the kinks out. the only difference with the government (specifically the military) is that their stuff is alot bigger and needs a large area to test. also, it's more dangerous, so people must be kept farther away. and more importantly, we must realize the risk of espionage. if a car company is spied on and top secret designs for a fuel efficient car is stolen, they may lose alot of money. if the US is spied on and top secret design for a super battle tank are stolen, it may take away our advantage in any war we fight, and may lead to defeats abroad, which would hurt us and make us look bad, and looking good is one of the US's major advantages.

So now I'm on Twitter @NoahWright.

Just out of curiosity, did that book disprove the possibility that we did the whole conspiracy thing at first, just to win the race, then land later and be able to take satellite photos? Just a thought. I have complete faith that we legitimately won the race to the moon.

In fact, I have complete faith in our great country. [U.S.] There isn't a shadow of a doubt, that the dreams and the visions of our founding fathers are being upheld to the greatest extent. The government is doing all they need to do in area 51, with the best intentions for the people.

You can throw up now. But I really did mean my question.

The government spread rumors about aliens to try and make other countrys not realize that bush is planning to blow up the entire world and make it one big anarchy.

im not sure if anyone else watches G4 techTV, but they have a program called screensavers on. One of which where they interveiwed a man who researches Area 51. He claimed they dont have aliens but its is all experimental testing, for example clocking devices and other that are on television. he had a website up but i cant seem to remember what it was. Just head over to g4techtv.com and look for the Screensavers TV show they have the whole interview on the site.

We have been to the moon when we said we had. The proof is in the reflectors that Apollo astrounauts put on the surface. Scientists have aimed lasers at them and measured the time for the light to return to the source in order to measure the distance to the moon.

A robot probe could not have put them there because the tech for that didnt exist during 1969-1972.

We couldn't have launched a mission later in secret because air traffic controllers would have seen the launch on radar, observatories would have seen the craft in transit, and other spy sats would have seen the reentry.

We saw the rockets go up, we have video footage from the lunar lander. And there is no credible proof that we didn't land on the moon.

People trying to say that shadows and stuff don't line up understand nothing of photography. Plus we brought back moon rocks are proof. =D

Well our country has done a lot of bad things in secret to protect itself and to do what it wants hasn't it, but it's done a lot less bad than other countries and their genocides/human testing and lack of liberty/freedom.
