I thought the exact same thing. I have no idea why it would have been so difficult for the cashier to just say "sorry ma'am, here's your money."
Notice how both of these fast food 911 calls both happened in Florida? I guess I'm never going to a fast food place in FL, apparently the service is bad.

The anti-American comments are really mature, guys.
Anyway, I would've lol'd REAL hard had I been that 911 operator. The funniest part of the article was: 'That's a little overboard,' Bair said. 'That's way too much, way extreme for chicken nuggets. They're not that great.'" |

Very Grave Indeed

I think that if she made a purchase, they took her money, and then refused her a refund when they didn't have what she purchased, if they continued to refuse I'd have at least called the police. That's either fraud or theft depending on how you want to parse it.
Sure, it's a couple bucks for nuggets, but what moron thought that "All sales are final" was a correct policy in cases where "the thing you sold doesn't exist" |

I don't know how it works in Canada, but in the US there are multiple numbers. 911 is traditionally the emergency police/fire/OH GOD HELP ME line. There are other police lines you can call in the event of something like this. To call 911 three times takes away valuable time that could be used to save lives.

Yeah, I agree w/ dev that calling the police was a good idea, but like organism said, 911 is for emergencies, not having nuggets isn't really an emergency.

This just in: nuggets are now considered vital organs.

Breaking News: McDonald's stores around the country have been ravaged and burned to the ground by people seeking nuggets...

BuMP it

I would have been pissed off if they wouldn't give me my money back, but I wouldn't have called 911. I would have asked to speak with the manager, and so on and so forth. **** is dumb.

She probably should have dialed the non-emergency number instead.
I'm glad they ended up giving her chicken nuggets + a refund. WHATTT? Fatburger and Tommy's aren't national chains? That sucks balls for the rest of the country. XD |
