I find these things hilarious, I played SM first like 2005 fall or sth (but onehanded for quite long before switching spread), and I don't still wtfpwn and I can't for hell sure get scores what people expect me to get just because they think it's relevant for my "skill level", I change my settings and stuff too alot and even when I'm comfortable with settings sometimes lots of perfs seem to just pop up even if I feel like I'm dead on a beat.
I don't care who is or isn't bs though so not posting this to accuse or defend, maybe to ask what's the big deal, if someone fakes scores to feel big he is already too sad to be cared about. But some of you seem deluded with your own skill level that is good in all aspects of gameplay for you that you think some things don't make sense based on your personal experience. |

UberFiffi's Channel Quote:
With that being said, I could care less whether or not you're bs. Since StepMania is a nonprofessional rhythm game, online sectoral competition has the purpose of social unification and relative reference. The personal rewards for having established a position as a notable player extend no further than self-fulfillment and credibility. Consequently, betraying the trust and good will of others is fundamentally a complete waste of (both your and their) time. Don't even get me started on what happens when an individual is proven indeed guilty as charged... : | |

Actually, there isn't really a point to calling me bs now since I have legit videos I'm going to upload right now :P
RATO and mischief makers in the same vid, was really pumped today And what I meant by video evidence is that samt0rx AA's aCiiiii's OP, etc. I KNOW he has a channel dude lmfao it's just that some of the scores he gets is ridiculous and they're not on video. I saw his data drain pass

You probably misunderstood my statement, but I was really trying to say that his scores probably aren't bs but I'm confused as to why mine are being called bs with videos. |

funny maybe pointless thread but i'll say a few things since i like to read my own posts
honestly it's pretty sad if you have hours and hours of video playin sm or anygame. when i look at my vids it makes me wonder what i should do with life <_< and i have like 30 (alredy too much). plus: videos =/= legit. theres plenty of ways to fake em. easiest way is you could make a decoy sm folder since all you need to run sm is the folder with all the stuff. mine is in program files/stepmania 3.95 but i think at one point it was on my desktop or something. I (also you, he, she, it, pastapiggy) could've easily show the sm 3.9 folder or w/e. stepmania anticheat is useless; me and smdude pretty much debunked it stepmania.old is the one that matters btw Now for stepmania common sense argument: iF YOU CAN PASS 960 BPM SPEEDCORE ON 1.3X THERE SHOULD BE NO REASON TO COMPLAIN ABOUT SM STAMINA. EVER. not grounds for a bs call but it's common ****ing sense that you should be perfectly fine for stamina in nearly every song if you can do ridiculous mashing ****. losing brain stamina a.k.a. getting really off sync during the song is different and I really hope that's what you're talking about dossar cuz the other argument doesnt fly and actually... i don't know of a way to cheat stepmania online besides changing the bpm of the song and then changing the music file of that song so that it'd essentially work like rates. generally i'd say smonline is pretty legit, but i guess somebody knows how to trick it cuz sometimes its pretty bs lastly, you can't expect everyone to believe you i still dont believe rubix's toml aaaa and i dont care to what extent he proves it cuz i still wouldnt believe it now time to read my post. heheh +ego

Actually what really pisses me off is how I'm posting legit scores/videos and then a lot (I wouldn't mind a few but there was a lot) of people are like "bs, you didn't show the .old file" or "you shouldn't be getting 17 greats on this song".
It's like there's always something I'm missing in my videos (like the .old file you're talking about sam) and then everyone starts coming down on me because I didn't know I needed to show it. And what's so different about the .old file than the regular .ini? I don't see any difference in mine. As for the stepmania community, I now realize why the amount of "good" stepmania players are rather scarce, because they're afraid of posting good scores and being called bs by a ton of others. I know not everyone has to believe something is legit or not, but in my current situation practically 80% of the people that have looked at this thread probably either think I'm bs or just really suspicious even though I try to give solid evidence. And yes Patashu, that is the video. Edit: Adding more to the point of the amount of current experienced stepmania players, there isn't a whole lot. There are other players who are probably scared like fuc posting their scores from looking at players like me getting called bs by so many people. Lighten up on the bs calls for crying out loud, you're probably convincing others to not play stepmania (no offense intended)

I can sort of see why it might happen, but
is there actually anyone who's good at stepmania but not posting scores for that reason? like specific examples

I used to play with a lot of people on smo and some of them are pretty good (DDRNoob is a pretty good example)
it's not that they don't post at these forums because they are afraid of bs calls, they just don't care to post here because they don't feel like it.

I know that some experienced players (DDRNoob whoever that is) could post here and probably aren't afraid of bs calls but when someone actually bothers to look at threads in the past they'll probably not consider posting their scores.

sorry to burst your bubble but that (nima) is a TERRIBLE TERRIBLE TERRIBLE example. i can't think of a worse example than him
Nima was just full of ****, so if he ever tries to post scores again that's what he'll get. There was that time a bit later when he posted like 4 perfs on tgwp but not like it matters in fact, the only person i can think of that avoided posting scores for a while cuz of bs calls is me Unless someone's constantly bombarded with bs calls to the point where they wanna cry and go home, they usually do post their scores. Everyone loves bragging, duh and if they dont then GTFO the bragboard
