Windows XP Essential

Hey everybody guess what??

I just got a new OS!!! (operating system)

its a brand new version of windows xp that came out after vista! woohoo. so ya since vista sucks why not improve on what was good!

im posting this to find out if anyone else has heard of xp essential because so far everyone i have asked has said that they haven't heard of it.

um there is not story to it...my dad's computer needed fixing up, he lost his xp disks so i went and found what i believed to be an xp professional torrent, but i ended up getting something much better. and i wont link a torrent to you i think that is against rules

XP Essential is just a modification of Windows XP made by a loser that doesn't understand economics. It's not a new OS, considering the newest OS to be released by Microsoft IS Vista, which does not suck. It is just too demanding for most computers.

EDIT: And shrink your pictures a little bit next time, saves the page from stretching.

I thought he had problems on the Song Essential with Windows XP, haha.
Otherwise yeah, this is not a new OS, just a hacked XP version.

I've used it before. I'm still not a big fan.

Anyways, this is probably like the thing that my friend had which was just XP with a Vista skin on it.

The Vista skins for XP suck. Most skins suck in general...

XP Essential looks hacked, as others have said, with stuff probably stripped out (like Windows Genuine Advantage and the need for a serial number).

I have XP Professional... Essential looks interesting but I'd stick with Pro.

Like it has been mentioned to run Vista you have to have a computer that can take it. If you get a brand-new laptop with vista stock in it, it's going to run it fine. If you have an "older" computer that doesn't have the speed and capacity to run it, it's going to kill performance.

There is nothing majorly wrong with vista and it still plays and does anything i want it to. They just added a few things to try and make it a safer OS over the internet which can sometimes get in the way of doing things more quickly. My new laptop has XP though. =) Not this essential whatever nonsense. Just XP.

Well, it's new and the changes can make it hard to find some basic features.

That sucks.

Also, it is more reliant on hardware to get maximum output.

That said, XP was once in the same boat that Vista is in right now. I recall not wanting to switch to XP, just because it was new and different. I figure by the time I shift to Vista, Microsoft will be beta testing Vista's replacement. But that's fine. I don't mind.

To me, saying an operating system sucks is like saying it doesn't do what you want it to do.

Vista has done more than XP has ever done for me. I cannot say it sucks.

What I can say is that some of the features are bad, but you can just disable them and it's all good. I did the same thing on XP.

Now, to me, Linux sucks. I can never make it do what I want it to do no matter what distro I use.
