Pet Problems for FFR
I may be alone in this, but I'm going to whine about it anyways.
My cat is attracted by the tapping noise I make when I play FFR. Invariably, she hops up on my desk. Often times she'll politely sit on the corner and watch me play, which is somewhat endearing. However, though I've made a number of attempts to train her not to, often she'll walk right in front of the screen as I'm playing, decimating what could have been a AAA or new FC. Sometimes she'll dive-bomb onto the desk from the window ledge, shaking the keyboard and entire desk (perhaps the worst offense). And then there's the hair constantly floating in the air. We've all experienced, I'm sure, the dreaded nose itch on a potential AAA with only a hundred arrows to go. With pet hair in the air, it's a constant threat; one little hair landing on your cheek could distract you (and has me on many occasions) just enough to blow that AAA of, say, The Entertainer. I should've gotten a fish, I know. I was wondering if anyone else on FFR had pet problems like this and what you do about it.

When I play at my in-laws their bird taps along (at quarter notes) and their dog gives me dirty looks.

My dog sometimes just won't shut the hell up because she barks over anything tapping or door knocking noise she hears.

If I put my dog on my bed, she'll lay down. But when I miss and get pissed off--she picks up the change in my mood, decides to get on my lap, and licks the hell out of me until I calm down.

My cat sometimes jumps up on top of the desk when I'm sitting here by myself. My fish never cared.... Don't really have this problem, but I can see a cat on the computer (which I have had before also) being a problem.

1. Perhaps create a barrier around your computer?
2. The only thing you can do about nose itches is to stand them. I got used to that. Besides, your playing style is one-handed, so you have an advantage over us spread players.

Re: Pet Problems for FFR
I actually encounter the same thing. Every now and then, my bird (parakeet) will fly onto the hand that I use to play. (one handed ) Anyway, as I am playing it will jump on my hand and start biting my fingers as I am in the song. LOL It is ridiculous! One time I was AAAing a song and there was a pause in the song and i flicked him off at the right time and kept going and got it!

Injury? That sucks. I'm glad I don't have such a problem. What happened?
