Anywas but yeah i support this. but nistead of it being on the side at ALL times maybe you see it when the song starts and then it becomes transparent or whatever.
But if you get a good it comes back for a few seconds to show you where you're at.

That would be even more complex to code, and even more distracting to the eye. If it is just popping up when you hit a good, how is it any different from the fact that the word 'Good' pops up when you hit a good?

I'd only want to see this as the display of your current accuracy stats shoved off in a corner, and only if you had the option to disable its display. For that matter, I'd rather also have the option to hide my combo and accuracy popups too.

I would turn the combo off, but keep the accuracy popup. Or, make accuracy pop up elsewhere.

Good idea but a little bit too messy/space-consuming.

Why not instead add an option you can toggle on/off that puts a "good counter" in one of the corners.

Something that simply shows you exactly how many goods you have so far (just a number displayed, no bars). Otherwise, i support this idea, ive boo'd out way too many times during jumps cause i thought i saw a good when i really didn't.


Another way more complicated idea i've had would be an autofail option that fails you if it's deemed impossible for you to beat your previous best score by any means . This would eliminate the need to figure out your previous best scores, and help for songs that you mashed/haven't FC'd yet. Of course this would probably be really hard to code.

That would be incredibly calculation heavy to code. It would have to compare the potential max score to your best score individually each and every time you hit an arrow. That would bog down so fast it would make your head swim. It isn't a "If everyone could do it, the site would lag" it's a "I can't see how it could possibly do that and not lag the song so bad as to make it unplayable."

This reminds me of (Oni) mode in DDR where you have the battery that makes that loud annoying sound everytime you get a good or less o.o

As I said, I think a counter is definitely the most realistic option. Also, I don't know about the rest of you, but I don't really find the combo/accuracy distracting at all; in fact, it's really helpful.

there was a thread back in the past about a "PA assist" feature


once you hit perfect the PA meter turns to 100% Green and stays there so you can easily notice it at all times

once you hit anything else but a perfect it turns red with 99..or anything below 100%

if you play mario hit the first arrow perfect turns 100% green - hit the second arrow good turns to a red 50% -- hit the third arrow perfect it goes 75%


formula is % of perfect arrows from all arrow hits while on a run

it will basically be good while your trying to AAA so you will see when you mess up

It seems easy. If they can do it in mp they can do this. The current pretotal score is essentially worthless information to the player if the scoring is based so much on combo.
