Re: R1 - Actual Song Difficulties V2
Sometimes I wonder if the tier points are based on the difficulty ratings in this thread at all. Another example: Epidermis is a low FMO, yet it's worth seven tier points.

Re: R1 - Actual Song Difficulties V2
That's a good question, I'm not sure of that myself. I just noticed this because I played both L9 and Dazzling, and I nearly SDG'd L9, while I got like 25 goods on Dazzling (I suck lol).

Re: R1 - Actual Song Difficulties V2
L9 has the crazy bursts in the beginning, doesn't it? I'd say that's harder to AAA.

If NWE and Church Bells are FMO, Summer Time definitely is.

I'm pretty sure Killer Dance Floor needs to move up from 25. I was able to play 45's before I could play KDH.

Re: R1 - Actual Song Difficulties V2
I know I posted the same thing before, but Tetris Remix SERIOUSLY needs to be moved down. 45/46, maybe. Difficulty breakdown:
VD (beginning) Easy (early middle) Standard to Tricky (jump bits) Easy (late middle) VD (main end) I mean, if you can read and FC the bits at the beginning and end, you've as good as FC'd it. Which I just did. By contrast, the nearest song I FC'd to that: Half Symphony, a 32. And look closely: the (spread notation) ASK/LKS/ASK, etc. sections are exact mirrors of each other. Whoa. ___ Also, Breaking the Common is definetly not a Standard. 34, at least. Those streams are mid-6 at least, take up most of the song, and they're way more complex than the ones on Secret Zombie Room. I've FC'd it a total of one time. By contrast, I've SDG'd SZR. -XCV |

Re: R1 - Actual Song Difficulties V2
NNT needs to be a FGO.
It's easily the hardest FMO (perhaps besides EHHS) if it remains FMO.

Re: R1 - Actual Song Difficulties V2
NNT could be an FGO, though I disagree with you about EHHS being one of the hardest FMOs. 4 Chord Touhou is a counterexample; like EHHS, it consists mainly of jumpstream but is much harder.
In my opinion, Flight of the Bumblebee deserves a higher rating. I don't know if this is a personal matter, but those 200 BPM trills are incredibly hard to FC, let alone PA. High FMO at least. (Or do I just suck at this song?)

Don't forget about Eradication you guys. And Gymnastics. Verrrry high FMOs, but still FMOs.

Re: R1 - Actual Song Difficulties V2
Going for PA, I consistently score worse on NNT than on either of those.

Re: R1 - Actual Song Difficulties V2
Ditto. I have the same issue with PA on Gymnastics, though...
Eh. I guess I'm a sucker for piano music.

FOTB is incredibly gay on spread; bust out your index fingers and play it like that.

Re: R1 - Actual Song Difficulties V2
Ah I find NNT pretty easy to PA as long as I can keep my combo.
You just gotta NOT focus on the patterns or anticipate a thing. Hit it instinctively and later than you're used to, worked for me.

I'm under the impression that a lot of people like to do these "cool loud keytaps" where you can really hear them play, and it's just slowing people down doing that. It's better to use less force in my experience - at least on this level. |

Re: R1 - Actual Song Difficulties V2
low FGO(84) would fit more than high FMO(83) for NNT.
also Tetris: low VD (50) -> high D (47) Summer Time: high VC (75) -> low FMO (76) ok maybe. |

Re: R1 - Actual Song Difficulties V2
I don't see how Summer Time is a FMO, neither do I understand how Black Key is a FMO?
I can understand Nomina as a FGO though, definitely agree with that. Last edited by [TeRa]; 02-7-2009 at 04:48 AM.. |

Re: R1 - Actual Song Difficulties V2
Does anyone else think Kanon-Kanon should be FMO? Look at the AAA/FC counts. Also that trill at the very end killed my combo.
