irrelevant: how much do touchscreen monitors cost? (good ones like a 25 incher iono)
relevant: are there dj max technika emulators for the PC? i could go find out since im in korea.. i'll get back to you guys if someone hacked a machine or not..

The Youtube thing is useful for figuring out how to handle tricky patterns that come up in certain songs. It's a bit annoying to do as a source of fun though, since the screen's probably not the same size and there's no actual feedback from your hits.

Decent when you're suffering withdrawal though. ;_; I really, really want a machine out here. My card's just sitting around not accruing any more points, and Youtube certainly doesn't help that! I also want to build my skill more before Platinum Crew is released.

From what I know, the entire program is on a USB, it's only an infrared touch screen and the OS is Windows XP, so it's possible to play on a computer.

Well, for the North American players of Technika, they're waiting for the servers to finish up; when that happens the Net will be up for N.America and we'll be able to play the Platinum Songs. According to my friend, he's been going back and forth between PM Studios (He has connections with them because he's making a chart for a special Platinum song *jealous*) about the Net and it should be up by September.

So, basically everyone in North America should expect the Platinum Set to be up next month.

Best route to get connections: Talk with PM Studios at conventions (They were at AnimExpo when my friend got the connection with them). I don't know their direct e-mail though...

I want connections so I can get close to the rhythm game industry

not sure if I wanna do anything now per se, but if I ever wanted to do anything I'd have people I can talk to

as for machines, there's actually an arcade near me that already has almost everything. although if it's possible to get one at home for a "special price" I might be willing.
