What are credits used for?

Credits aren't worth as much as they could be, but they are good for playing as a bet, and to buy new songs. I think they could come up with a better variety of things to buy, though. >.<

All we can really buy from the site with credits is songs. You can buy, off other people, merchandise. So, it's rather fair. Plus, the site's having a financial crisis as is, so we need to limit what can be bouth with credits and what must be purchased with money.

You can spend credits in the game store to buy songs for the 'purchased' genre.

Having enough credits unspent on you will unlock songs in the 'secret' genre.

You can gamble with them as well.

I'm not sure where rzr got his information that there is a financial crisis, but the actual reason why things such as merchandise or subscription time can't be bought from the site for credits is that the credit system is both imbalanced and insufficiently secure to allow credits to basically inherit cash value.

The number of times the credit system has had to be backed up and reset over the past year should show you the truth of that, and if credits = money, imagine how much more often people would try to mess around with it.

Credits were never going to be used for paying subscriptions anyways.

The financial state of FFR has nothing to do with credits. Although, you can purchase T-Shirts, Subscriptions, and whatever else people might have from actual players that like to contribute to FFR. Emerald is an example. Anyways, hope this helps.
