I can see how what I said could be interpreted that way, but to elaborate just a little this is what it was intended to mean: I personally (as if it wasn't obvious) have a VERY competitive attitude. Not just on FFR but nearly anything you can compete at in life. For others like me that are highly competitive, we like to do as well as we can and take things more seriously. Now, when I say seriously I do NOT mean that we are never calm and instead of playing for fun, play for the sole reason of beating someone and bragging rights. In other words we enjoy what activity we're doing and if we don't do well, we won't be like "oh well, I could care less." That attitude in my opinion is pathetic. That's more or less saying "I like, or don't mind losing." Only losers like losing. I really enjoy FFR, and yes I get pissed off a lot with the game as do most people, but it's no where near the point where I can't enjoy it. If that was the case I wouldn't be playing it. Hope this clears that up a little bit better. |

You know what this thread needs? Muffins!
A whole good batch of muffins to settle the mood! Come by, relax, drink a beverage of your choosing! By the way, there was one gif iironic posted not too long ago that pretty much outlined this exact argument to be had at the moment. |

KrazyKitsune went from D1 to D5 from the start of the previous official to now. EDIT: anyone who says a skillboost shouldn't happen in two weeks that's noticeable need to refer to igotrhythm, who received a substantial skill boost by just switching key setups. With that being said, the drama is completely unnecessary. |

I got a skillboost just from getting a new keyboard. Went from average AAA capability level 55-60 to 60-67 in about 2 weeks (which is sort of the difference between D4 and low D5)

You are notorious for taking things way too literal. Are you like this in your English class? If your teacher gives you a quote and says "Alex interpret what this quote means," you seem like the one kid in the class that would literally take the words that make up the quote and rearrange them as your explanation....with that said I'm not explaining what I meant by that....actually I take that back I did in my previous response to noname. I'm sure if you really wanted to, you could have figured it out yourself rather than rewording what I said. |

Drama... :/
Quote:
(tip: start by not hitting anything until you almost fail at the [14] jump. Then hit it late enough so that the missed arrow before it doesn't reset your combo and keep going until you hit the 214 combo... Play a couple times to learn where it stops, it's easy enough once you figure out where it is. From there you just hit occasional notes and manage your life bar, keeping it alive but never letting it fully fill up) EDIT: Whoo, improved my score to 55-2-0-4 thanks to Jake Ferguson's tip: "If you play the song on r^2 and press ctrl to quit out, then restart it, the video stays on the white bg and doesn't play. So you can see all the notes " Quote:
Well, Rarity posted about that AAA on the forums as soon as he got it so it's not like he tried to hide it... Also FWIW AAA and Connect are unusually smooth, rhythmic, fun songs - they're over before you know it and not hard to PA well on. But maybe I'm just biased because ClariS songs are awesome :/

Re: 8th Official FFR Tournament ~predictions thread~
You also have a tendency to simply ignore the other argument, as shown in the other thread when Staiain resigned from the tournament.
No more drama in this thread please -- it's supposed to be a predictions thread where we talk about how/who we want people to win, not about how a skillboost should push a person out a division, because it shouldn't. If a person works hard during the tournament to try and win, they shouldn't be bumped up. Salitz was moved up to D5 in this case because he was nearly put in D5 from the start and his scores were so incredibly close to knocking him off the D4 boat (if not good enough to be D5 from the start). When I saw scores that would have kept him perfectly fine in D5 for the current round, the move was obvious. |

Re: 8th Official FFR Tournament ~predictions thread~
Oi I just looked in this thread and it's the typical bs with people. I'm tired of this "he got a good score get him out of my division" junk. Really a person shouldn't be moved unless they were grossly misplaced or if it's obvious sandbagging, which the 2nd I'm more likely to just remove the person. So many people have been working their ass off and practicing for this, they're going to skillboost. If you're not taking the time to improve yourself that's your problem not the problem of those actually fighting for it.
It's like with Fluvs who sat there and said he was dead last round with one gameplay on the song and even in the end he still didn't play the file all that much. There are people that have played some of the files upwards of 700 times already this early in the tournament. I also don't want to hear the "so and so has this division in the bag" cause frankly there's a lot of people practicing and pushing themselves hard, so there's no way of knowing who's going to take down what. |

I would actually say you're nearly D6 lol, some of your scores lately are a little too good.
