Re: Queue/Batch Discussion Thread v2 [Regular batch: closed!]
Welp, I guess I might be completely screwed because I thought that freeze arrows were the ones where it paused a song, not arrows where you hold a note for extended periods of time. Guess that means my song is invalidated completely.

Well they were going to be released today, but your insubordination has forced me to postpone them for an indeterminate period of time.

Re: Queue/Batch Discussion Thread v2 [Regular batch: closed!]
Okay, so I asked a bunch of musicians and bands and record labels last night for permissions each in the format provided here: http://www.flashflashrevolution.com/...ad.php?t=94992 And I've already got some positive responses back!
Independent Bumblefoot: Potentially limited, but it seems like he's okay with the songs he has permission of to be used. Will update when I get another response from him! His first email was speedy, so it shouldn't take long anyways! Look Left: Limited - "Waiting" album. However, if it is well received Jared said that he'd allow the full catalog to be used. I'm pretty excited about this, because this is a really awesome band that deserves more attention. I've purchased the album myself (it was only $8) and will work on getting a song charted for the next batch after this one, since I'm already at my limit this batch. Weebl's Stuff: All he said was "Sure," so that's cool! |

Re: Queue/Batch Discussion Thread v2 [Regular batch: closed!]
it looks like for bumblefoot, it depends on the album. if he's sold rights to a label, we would have to ask that label for permission, not bumblefoot.

We have blanket permission for cosMo@BousouP but am I allowed to send this? Mainly because it's in a Bemani game, so I'd like some clarification. ps we need permission from Camellia so I can send Blue Planet and Bangin' Burst |

Re: Queue/Batch Discussion Thread v2 [Regular batch: closed!]
Plenty of songs in FFR already are from commercially released Bemani games.
As long as the rights holder (in your case, I'd be 99% sure that's the artist, not the game publisher) gives permission, it's allowed.

The question may have been answered a billion times, I'm sorry 'bout that:
How do I know what's goin on with my stepfile right now? About when will I get a rating? |

Re: Queue/Batch Discussion Thread v2 [Regular batch: closed!]
Stepfile judgements will be posted in a thread called "Batch Review Thread": http://www.flashflashrevolution.com/...d.php?t=114965
It'll be bumped when they're posted, and a staff member will post here saying that they're up. |

Re: Queue/Batch Discussion Thread v2 [Regular batch: closed!]
The fact that so many simfile artists still call rhythm gaming music "the least creative or artistically genuine" type of music only tells you how far music still is from becoming a serious art.

Re: Queue/Batch Discussion Thread v2 [Regular batch: closed!]
Isn't the biggest issue here getting permissions from artists we actually want to play? How often do people run into a label or artist explicitly saying they don't want their music used in FFR?
