Just played all of the charts.

Lunar Landing - very fitting opening song for division 1. Stresses a few skills involving repeated taps and usage of 16ths, a great first round in my opinion.

Death March - this to me, is a really harsh first round. Throwing a high amount of triples like this seems a bit extreme for lower end D2 players who might not have found their confidence on spread. The chart itself is great; extremely well done, proper PR, great sync, all of which you can expect from Silvuh. I just don't think this should have been used in this particular spot.

Infinity - great chart, great placement. A little tricky to start with, but certainly nothing unmanageable for even lower D3 players to learn.

Addict - I've already said it before but I'll mention it again - AWESOME chart by Carlos, but waaaaaay too hard for the opener. This file took me more tries to AAA than my own tournament song (Spoils took me one restart, Addict took me six). It's a good D4 file, but I'm sure things could have been shifted around a bit more to put this a round later (at the least).

Euromorroc - this opener is also pretty harsh too - it requires a good understanding of jumpstreaming (and how not to split it when handling multiple jumps per beat). Certainly not out of D5's range of play, but definitely aggressive.

Spoils - also a fair bit harder than I expected, but the chart itself is really well done.

Glad most of you like Spoils, although I kinda feel bad for D6 people because I don't really put much consideration into whether or not my files will be enjoyable to whore for a AAA. It's a really fun chart when you're not worrying about score lol

Addict makes me want to punch everyone on ffr in the face. brb eliminated round 1 (unless I can magically play this on sm and get a better score)

Anyone interested in knowing what percentage of people have played/AAA'd day by day for each round? I made an Excel sheet cause I'm a nerd. For example as of now:

Division 1
Date AAA % Played %
7/8/2012 23 9% 65 26%

Division 2
Date AAA % Played %
7/8/2012 6 4% 64 45%

Division 3
Date AAA % Played %
7/8/2012 20 24% 50 61%

etc, but the day's not over yet.

Addict - Honestly, it's decent. The only beef I have is having those mini polyrhythms between 650-750. Major trap there.
EuroMorroc - ... What the hell ass balls is this?! No seriously! EuroMorroc is garbage! *CRUNCH* I'll add it to the heap.
Spoils - dp;no (although Protest the Hero 8D)
R2 heavy chart was more fun, agreed. Again, Dossar with his patterns that look straightforward enough except for one hard-as-balls part. <<

Everyone is complaining about D4 having a harsh opener, but I personally feel like Addict is much easier than Fall Silently by a landslide. But I guess it's all subjectivemanias. If anything I think the D5 chart had a harsh opener, I still don't know how people are still doing so well on it though x.x

herpaderp 32nd jumptrill

Gonna have to tentatively agree. 2-0-0-1 should be safe this round, which is basically an activity check, so I'll play this real quick and see.

edit: Oh god. I'm gonna have to say this is WORSE than Fall. The trill speedup in the intro, wicked jump exits from 32nd rolls, and 48th interval graces that are painfully reminiscent of Fall. And the minijacks at the end...UGH. Wasn't really trying, but still, got 15-0-1-0 sightread. *shrug* What is it with D4 that makes it get the shaft in terms of technicality, anyway? :/

edit2: God, Stavie, the universe does seem to resent you. Also, thinking back to Ambient Angels being D5's last opener, the resemblances between it and Euro Morroc are rather frightening in terms of peak density, speed, and pattern choice. Main difference has got to be how AA's layered jumps are more persistent than Euro's, plus that blessed 32nd roll right at the start. :/

There really needs to be a method to prevent something like this from happening. True story, my connection dropped like 30 seconds after I AAA'd Husigi back in the 6th Official. Imagine if that shit didn't record.

Lunar Landing - Good beginner song for D1.

Death March - Love the song and the chart is great as well. I think this was a little rough to start D2 off with on round 1.

Infinity - Glad to hear a lot of people are enjoying this! Some people have considered this an easy round for D3 and I've heard the opposite as well but I think it's a good song to start off with.

Addict - It's ok. Really tricky. Took me more tries to AAA than EuroMorroc lol. I feel like This is pretty even in difficulty with Fall Silently and so D4 got kicked in the rear again.

EuroMorroc - Only complaint about this file is that the JS was awkward at times which is the only thing making this an FMO imo. Otherwise I probably would have liked this file a lot more. With it being so short it's not a bad song to start D5 off with.

Spoils - At first I thought I wasn't going to enjoy this file very much as I don't very many rock genre songs. But..... I actually enjoy this one XD. It's a lot easier on mirror for those who are stronger with right handed patterns like myself. I love the ending of the song =)

Funny you should say this, 'cause this file has made me realize how inconsistent I can be with 24/48th patterns. Hopefully my BF will get me through >< Still love the file, Brandon, it's fun and the song is rad and as soon as I stop pulling my hair out over it for the AAA, I'll love it again. Definitely my favorite of the bunch.

The others:

D1 - Really enjoyed the song and file. Seems fairly straightforward and simple for D1 players to play. It sort of brought me back to the days when I used to whore Trip to the Moon... only this song is harder, and way better. But they've got, y'know, that similar lunar thing goin' on.

D2 - Hands everywhere omg. Enjoyed the file, though I can see how it could be easy to lose focus while whoring this one. And if you can't do hands, RIP at the end. But I like piano files, and this wasn't an exception.

D4 - Awesome song. File is really really fun, but definitely wouldn't be fun to whore. And that trill at the beginning is lol.

D5 - I'm not a big fan of jumpstream, so didn't like this file too much. Not too much to add.

D6 - I mean, I liked it. I was just excited that I could actually read all of it, lol.

I really LOVED Infinity - great way to start things off. Quick, fun song that is stepped really well with lots of purples/triples and a nice feel. Have only played a few other first round files so far and thought they were also fun.

Man, Addict is tough! Glad I didn't end up in D4
