Let's talk about sex
I also ask that we keep this thread relatively clean if it is to remain unlocked.
What are your general attitudes towards sex?

Re: Let's talk about sex
I'm a believer in withholding from having sex until you're married. Not for religious reasons or anything like that, just my personal belief. I don't look down on others that go against this "moral code" of mine, however.

Re: Let's talk about sex
Sex is meant for only reproduction, and nothing else...
just kidding. I believe it's not something you can have with someone just because you "think" you love them, to be perfectly honest. |

Re: Let's talk about sex
It's different for everyone. If you think it's a big deal, it is. If you don't, it isn't. I think it's pretty much fine as long as both parties involved are on the same page.
As for me personally, I think it's fairly important and "special" but I won't be holding out until marriage. |

Re: Let's talk about sex
I wish more people had a mindset like yours. Although I'm not one to wait for marriage, I'm not interested in casual sex. I prefer for sex to be a way to express my love and affection for somebody, however if it makes somebody happy to **** a lot of random people at a club, what's the problem with that? I think only because our society used to be religious and in the 50's you pretty much had to conform to everybody else morals, is why so many people disgusted with girls being "sluts" and "whores". Yet it's +Respect if a guy ****s a whole bunch of women. It's just so obviously illogical and wrong, and obliviously just a moral grandfathered to us from old ways of thinking.

Re: Let's talk about sex
I believe, that if you love someone, and they love you, then sex before or after marriage is not a big issue. There is nothing wrong with showing affection in the form of sexual activity. I also believe that if one person in the partnership has morals and the other one doesn't that the relationship shouldn't end due to that.
Sex without being together, or having a partner, I feel is okay too. Just not in the same means as a relationship. I feel that if you are not together, as long as you are both okay with it, then it is okay to have some fun.

Re: Let's talk about sex
I think it's pointless. I have too many things to worry about in life to be having sex, regardless of it's with someone I "love" or if it's just some random chick at a party.
I'm also asexual, so :P |

Re: Let's talk about sex
sex? Sure.
But I won't ever have someone to share it with, therefore I probably will likely never have it. I'm not being a gloom cloud, I just honestly see myself living by myself with perhaps a dog or maybe a couple of rats...or maybe both. Anyhoo, I certainly don't see the fun in my vag being ripped apart the first time anyway or letting someone else see me naked. I have huge self-confidence issues and if I let you see my body then god help you.

Anyways, on topic. I don't really think sex should be a casual thing like going out to the bar and just sleeping with some random person you don't know. But I don't believe in the waiting till marriage thing either. And frankly I see nothing wrong with friends with benefits. If it's a friend you're close with and you're both single at the time why not? At least you aren't just sleeping with random strangers it's someone you know and trust and probably have some love for just not in a romantic way. I think people make a way bigger deal out of it then they should. It's completely natural and we all have the urges to do it. As long as you're not being an idiot what's the big deal? The whole being in love and marriage thing is us being programmed what to think. And I'm just rambling now lol but that's my 2 cents. |
