best capture device to use for recording/streaming all systems
So for a while now, I have been wanting to record myself playing the massive amounts of games that are in my collection and pretty much do streaming on youtube/twitch. I have systems dating back from the NES to PS4. Whats the best device to use to accomplish this? I keep hearing different things and just wanted the communities input.
I know I will also have to get a webcam and possibly a new headset if my turtle beach PX 3 wont work.

Check this out. I found this the other day, and he not only does he offer many choices, but he also points out hidden gems and usually explains the pros and cons of all of his answers. Pretty good read

Similar boat as Charu, the extent of it I know is that Elgato and Hauppauge are pretty good for recording, with my experience with both Hauppauge is better quality but Elgato is easier. If you're feeling rather bourgeois you can go for a Blackmagic Intensity Pro

Re: best capture device to use for recording/streaming all systems
Elgato is still pretty good I think, I've had mine for over a year or so now.
I mean, no console game is going to achieve whatever those other ones advertise (4 different sources, 4k, ect) Elgato I think is the best one personally simply due to the price and it gets the job done just as well as any professional device. Plus, the other stuff is definitely for probably streaming tournaments or whatever (I feel anyways). Though the delay is pretty real, luckily there's a magic number you only need to know so your mic and game audio are in sync. And that number is 1400 ms, dohoho. Man... what weird timing, I've been thinking about streaming a whole lot lately.

Re: best capture device to use for recording/streaming all systems
Went ahead and bought the Logitech C922 cam that was in the link above.
I totally forgot that my gtx graphics card came with shadowplay, so i played around with that and was able to get the came to work and pick up my voice through my headset. So if I wasnted, I could actually start with pc games and emulators, but id rather play on the real system. I looked at the Elgato HD and am leaning a bit more toward that since its cheaper and supports my retro needs, but saw the ripsaw does also.
