I have a bad habit of playing every 2-3 days because there are unexpected things that happen throughout the day

Should I just aim for an hour a day or play for 2 hours every 2-3 days?

Played Last Testament for fun, just to see how long I can read hard 210 patterns. Apparently it's about 24~ measures. I like the long combo in the middle

Sorry for the lack of sound, the stream was being retarded.

It feels more like an upper end 15 to me, but you should go for it regardless to work your way up to your first "real" 16 ;P

Stuff that I did:
- 1ex on Polkakorowakurwa (A Speedcore 3 13 at 218bpm with a few runs.)
- Made it out of a 16 measure run of 255 on one of Matt's unfinished Tachyon Epsilon charts.
- 90 on PSV (270bpm candles)

So the machine was all set up and installed, but the guy forgot the customs to put on it! So messed around with rate mods on officials all night long. Heading back down on Wednesday with a USB drive full of customs!

I've not played properly in ages so will be looking to go for 13-14s mostly, maybe with some easy 15s. Anyone got any good suggestions for me to try?

Dossar - I'd go for the longer session fewer times a week. It takes a little while to warm up to your best, so you risk not getting there for only playing an hour. Plus playing every day might not give you enough time to recover before the next session.

When I was at my best I'd usually go down the arcade 2-3 times a week for 5-8 hours a time, and I improved a ton in that time. Times that I've gone down several days in a row, even for less time, have made me feel way more tired.

I dunno it comes eventually if you keep playing. I agree at first I thought marvelous's were practically random on that game but once you get the timing down they don't seem as bad as they were. It's still an incredibly tight timing though

Also lol your tarantula is probably about what I could do but your infinity hyperspace is probably 10 percent better than my high score, that score is ridiculous.

Completely agreed, I've gone for a week in a row before, all it seems to do for me is make me too drained to actually get any good scores at all, and then all that happens is I'm forced to cut back so I recover.

Also wildfire I don't know if you were a stamina or a speed player really so I'm not entirely sure what to recommend, but I'd always recommend Dream a Dream (sy and unknown remix) by Happy Feet, that's a great 14.

Also also

@ionave: I know most people probably already know who you are or something, but I don't, so welcome! and hi xD
Also, a pass on aztec templing is kind of amazing, have you tried going for gate openerz hard? That's kinda similar but probably easier than that and it's a really fun song (way more fun than the 16 I think)

@Aoreo: Lol only two misses on *** for u. I get that it's not really a 16 but it has got to take some serious skill to combo the candles at the end

@Dragon: What speed does chipstream go to? 240 or something? I can't really see in the video. Also making it through that part right before the ending probably took a lot of stamina too, you're getting a lot better on that front I think.

Anyways scores

PFC #7

PFC #8 and first 14 PFC! Though this really should be a 13. If I ever get Fire Fire I'll just pretend that was my first 14 pfc lmao

PFC #9. Holy crap the MA is atrocious though, I could not figure out the rhythm at all

PFC #10

Hah I can beat it too dark!

I have a vast pool of stamina (30 minutes of 140bpm stream, easy peasy), and at my best I could consistently stream 210bpm. I'm trying to be all around, so once I've had a few weeks of getting back into it I hope I'll be able to get back to improving both! I'll download that one for starters though

I'm soooo excited to meet them! They are such amazing players! I hope to be able to pass 17s by the time bearpocalypse comes around, otherwise I'll end up getting completely and utterly destroyed at the tournament :P I neeeeeeeed to get off my butt and setup my machine. ARG

Goddamn so apparently all I had to do to beast harder was put a fan under my junk while I play. These were all within my first 30 minutes of playing

First song: hell of a warm up
Granite(14) 91.12%

First pass/real play on this, Phil/Zetorux says it's hard haha
Since 1983(15) 83.68%

FINALLY PASSED THIS BITCH. I know I can do better, because I've full combo'd the first stream before.
Scatman(Fucking 15) 80.xx%

This was fun. The patterning in this is a bitch, and the first run is equal to 12 measures at 225bpm
Exam Cram(16) fail with 53%
