Re: Queue/Batch Discussion Thread v2 (Submissions CLOSED)
It'd be more organized if each chart was on the same song file like ts does

It would be I just don't think it's something that should stop the idea of more charts.

Re: Queue/Batch Discussion Thread v2 (Submissions CLOSED)
If a file has more than one chart we're supposed to automatically reject it since each hart has to be submitted individually no?

Re: Queue/Batch Discussion Thread v2 (Submissions CLOSED)
Rather than limiting files and mandating easy charts, just remove the submission cap and I promise I will submit all the easy files you could ever want <3

Re: Queue/Batch Discussion Thread v2 (Submissions CLOSED)
Wow, kommi, great idea! Probably because it's identical to the one Plan and I have separately suggested before (except for the 2-3 mandatory charts per file, which I disagree with for reasons I'll be happy to explain).

Re: Queue/Batch Discussion Thread v2 (Submissions CLOSED)

I'm all for having more easy files for casual players, don't get me wrong, but requiring multiple charts presents a few things I'd say are issues: 1) unless the FFR engine went through a COMPLETE overhaul, having multiple difficulties for every file would make the song list cluttered as fuck 2) by REQUIRING charts, you give people incentive to half-ass easy charts which, when being judged, could bring the file down overall. Again, I'm all for more casual charts, but to penalize a good hard chat just because it has mediocre easy charts is not only a bit unfair but in the long run will make people not want to submit files at all 3) not all songs can be made as an easy file. I mean, think of files that are Hard Pain Sync like your Ars Moriendi file. It was already hard enough to sync, and much of the sync is hard-pattern dependent. Sure, you could make slightly easier charts (like how you did lol) but in FFR those would be worthless and stepping a vastly easier file would be really goddamn hard or nigh impossible Better than REQUIRING easier charts, you should offer incentives for people who include 1/2 easier charts (I.e. increased submission cap), which would allow for more casual charts without the negatives of forcing it on people

That is, after the engine was modified to allow for easier files without it looking like shit

Re: Queue/Batch Discussion Thread v2 (Submissions CLOSED)
I'm going to be submitting some easier files this time with the exception of Party 4U. It's mostly going to be Nero's Day At Disneyland stuff. I had a few other harder files but I'm not submitting them next batch.

Re: Queue/Batch Discussion Thread v2 (Submissions CLOSED)
Pretty hyped for Party 4U. I wonder if FFR would be cool with me stepping the full version [or the latter half cut] of the original and then we'd have 5 versions in the game lmfao
(assuming yours were to be accepted) On a more serious note, I noticed pretty much all of cranky's songs are bms cuts or website cuts. Generally, full versions can warrant v2s even if there isnt a huge difficulty gap from the previous version, right? Last edited by Coolboyrulez0; 03-13-2013 at 06:14 PM.. |

Re: Queue/Batch Discussion Thread v2 (Submissions CLOSED)
If it's queueworthy and steps aren't too similar with v1 at parts, or the song isn't too repetitive/boring (judge's feeling), yeah.
