OSU wins against the team up north
A hard fought game that came down the last few seconds. (25-21)
Anyone see it? Anyone a fan of either? My favorite part were the various times Troy Smith would dodge tacklers left and right when it would seem he was going to get sacked. Nice job using the circle button Smith! EDIT: Changed score because I had it wrong. |

I totally thought you were talking about Oregon State University, and was about to slap you because U of O killed them. Crushed them. Destroyed them. Pulverized them. etc.
It's been a while since the ducks have crushed OSU in the civil war

Nobody cares about the Ducks Beth... Pac-10 is the weakest conference in the BCS, besides the Big East.
OSU won that game on a BS call. never liked OSU. Am a PSU fan, and a good friend of mine is from Ohio and loves OSU, so I gotta make fun of him at every opportunity. Its not hard, as his ringtone is the OSU fightsong, which is awful.

There is a pro football thread... this is also in regards to one specific college football game that has HUGE meaning.
OSU v Michigan is possibly the biggest rivalry in all of college sports. Its like Duke v UNC in basketball... only longer history. PS - You live in England Evan.

Penn State, dear... just like USC is University of Southern California, NOT University of South Carolina. Certain teams have 1st dibs of the acronym because they are better sports teams, longer standing tradition... things of that nature. Not to mention, we've been talking Big 10 the whole time, and PSU is in the Big 10 also.

Yeah, yeah, I know.
It's just I see the acronymns, and get excited because I think you're talking about Oregon teams. But then I realize you aren't. Perhaps it's the lack of sleep.

haha and baylor is awful...
I would say OSU Michigan is the biggest rivalry in all of college sports, and is up there for all sports both collegiate and pro. Go Buckeyes

hard to top Bears v Packers... or Yankees / Red Sox. Yankees - Sox is the biggest rivalry. Been going on strong for almost 90 years.
Penguins and Canadians... Lakers v Celtics... Bulls v Pistons... but, yea. College sports... OSU v Michigan is probably #1 rivalry. Close are Army/Navy, Harvard/Yale... and the LONGEST RUNNING rivalry... Lehigh v Lafayette (two schools in Eastern PA). Those 2 schools played for the 141st time this year since 1884...

Yea no one cares about your second-rate teams.
It would have been a good game if Michigan had a fucking defense at all this year... This weekend was a sad one for Michigan sports. UofM and MSU lost in football (I'm happy about MSU losing though, since UofM lost). Red Wings lost. Pistons lost (wtf 1st quarter). Lions lost. MSU basketball lost. |

the MSU basketball game cracked me up... especially the Rainbow Warriors laughing at a serious injury. Even moreso since I'm a 'nova fan and Nova is 4 in 1 poll, 5 in the other while MSU is the reverse. Not any more!
Will be a great game Dec 6th. Nova vs Okla. 4 vs 5.
