I hope he makes it. If he's really trying hard to do this I see no reason as to stop him. If he falls off he obviously wasn't prepared. If he makes it, that would be awesome.

My sister just came back from a Grand Canyon trip two days ago. I wish she could have stayed a bit longer and got some amateur footage, because if this guy falls to his gruesome death, I doubt Discovery will broadcast that part of the footage.

I don't see any reason he would fall if he has that balancing bar. Could also grab the wire if you do fall over. I'd still probably take a parachute with me.

I was wondering this too. He'd have no reason to fear death unless he forgot to open it or something.

If he deliberately decides to not bring in safety gear, then he's an arrogant bastard and I would have no sympathy if he fell. But hopefully he makes it.

Yeah, because I'm going to anchor a wire between two points and walk across the grand canyon -.-

But, really I do hope that he makes it. He's an awesome guy that faces death every time he does his walks.

No...the tether basically keeps him secured to the wire so he'd just hang there. I'm pretty sure the only reason he used a tether for Niagara Falls was because Canadian media wouldn't want to broadcast some dude dying on national tv if something were to go wrong. That and like tons of kids were going to watch it idk

This will be interesting for sure though!

no i was saying that if he hadn't used the tether at niagara he would have died there as well. it's not any less dangerous than the grand canyon.

also they did force him to wear the tether because it was on t.v.
this time it's online so he doesn't have to
