What's your collection look like?

My whole collection in one picture. Don't worry, there's a lot of stuff hiding behind that NES cartridge wall (expensive wall)

My most valuable game (in 2011), look it up! (Cheapest copy on ebay is $156 and doesn't include the artwork lawl) Those of you who are 2D shooter fans are in for a match in heaven. Emulate this NAW.

My top 5 games as of December 2011! Even though I have a lot more NES games than anything, I really am more of a Genesis guy (don't let the username fool you!). I like the fact that the developpers always have to play around the limitation of the hardware, everything on that console is either better than the SNES or worse than the NES. Or just average, but those games are boring. XD

DA GAME. This is what got me into gaming. I love that game to death. I wish more people knew about it... Look it up too! You'll either love it or hate it!

BaBAM! When I wasn't playing Atomic Runner, this is what I was playing. This is universally regarded as one of the most underrated Genesis game of its time by reviewers on the net. Especially for you guys who are into music oriented games... This game is not (it's pure action oriented YEEHAW), but it feels like a musical with some of the most brilliant tracks ever heard in a game. Memorable. I'm crying. :')

My most recent pick-up, I found this yesterday complete with instructions for a hilarious $4. If you did not know, this has hands down the best graphics on the Genesis console, next to Alien Soldier. Rock solid gameplay, too!

I should point out that the previous owner of the Ranger X manual took the liberty of underlining every ''the'' they could find in the manual... wtf?

More boxes than carts 8D

I always dreamt of playing Sonic 3 and Knuckles with a Game Genie... Look at that awesome sight! Genesis does

SNES games and a Punch-Out!! box. Super Punch-Out is behind the Zelda box...!

My favorite NES games as of now. I'm limited to the number of games which will fit into that box, so I have to choose them carefully. XD

AW YEAH my fav SNES pickup recently, 4 awesome games B)

Finishing Super Mario RPG :')

New boxed NES games

yup

you can see there are more games in there :O

Final!

Not an actual retro game, but, just because this is a thread about video game collecting, look this up on ebay

--------- NEW PICS ----------

^ At last, I finally got the box and the manual for Atomic Runner, the game that got me into gaming and that not enough people know about. Isn't that artwork cool?! Better than the cartridge, for sure. rofl!

^ Actually the best RPG I ever played.

fderajklfhdsajklfhdsajkfgdap9geor9qwerejlrbglqgjrblqgjkrblkgnq

Posting in this thread kills my wallet

NEW PICKUPS

I have 3 copies of Valkyrie Profile. 2 in mint condition with packaging, 1 that I use to play that had a broken CD case.
Apparently the game is worth like $80+ to collectors in mint condition, who knew...

That's about it.

That's cool... I wish I had mint games ;_; lol

I never heard of that game, I just looked it up. Seems like a fun retro RPG, right in the likes of FFVII...!

omg... I think it's my favorite story of any RPG. It's just so complex, you need to play the game multiple times through to pick up all the nuances and figure out what you need to do to get the best ending (or you could just get a guide but that's lame)

But yeah, it's one of the best games of its generation, completely under-rated. The battle system is amazing, the characters are great, the story and setting are cool... asdfjkl go play it. If you don't want to shell out for a mint copy, I'm sure you could "acquire" it for use on an emulator eheh

Also extremely awesome soundtrack by Motoi Sakuraba, it's AMAZING. (also mostly pretty steppable hehu)

Post pictures! Half the fun of having a nice collection is showing it off and talking about it with other collectors, after all My guess is that you're focusing on your NES collection more than anything?

I'll get some pics of mine sometime, or a video. Will arrange it a little better first...

Well I do a bit of collecting myself. On SNES I only do carts because the prices with boxes are generally EXTREMELY high. However I do have instructions with some of the games somehow.

SNES (I have a Game Genie with all of this):
Batman Forever
Bust-A-Move
Championship World Class Soccer
Chrono Trigger
Cybernator
Disney's Goof Troop
Donkey Kong Country
Donkey Kong Country 2
Donkey Kong Country 3
Doom
Final Fantasy Mystic Quest
F-Zero
Killer Instinct
Kirby's Avalanche
Kirby's Dream Land 3
Kirby Super Star
Mario Paint (w/o the mouse or board at the moment)
Mega Man X
Mega Man X2
Mega Man X3
Nigel Mansell's World Championship
Pac-Man 2: The New Adventures
Phalanx
Pilotwings
Pocky & Rocky (with box, but photocopied instructions)
SimCity
Super Star Wars
Speed Racer
Speedy Gonzales Los Gatos Bandidos
StarFox
Street Fighter 2
Stunt Race FX
Sunset Riders
Super Bomberman 2
Super Ghouls N' Ghosts
Super Mario All Stars
Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars
Super Mario World
Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island
Super Off-Road
Super Metroid
Tetris 2
Tetris Attack
The Great Circus Mystery
The Magical Quest starring Mickey Mouse
Tiny Toon Adventures: Bugs Busts Loose!
Ren & Stimpy Show: Veeidiots
Top Gear
TMNT 4: Turtles in Time
Zelda: Link to the Past

Sega Genesis:
Sonic the Hedgehog 1 (only case and instructions, dealer on Amazon confused Sonic 1 with Sonic 2, got full refund but kept the box and all)
Sonic the Hedgehog 2 Mint with box and instructions
Sonic the Hedgehog 3 Near-Mint without rack handle thing on box and instructions

I'm also working on a Sega Saturn collection. That's all mostly only CDs, and I have to organize that more so I can say which ones I have and don't have.

Holy crap. You just listed every freaking game I want on that system. Lock your house. 0_0

I'm uploading my pics to photobucket. I'm actually a lot more SEGA than Nintendo, I'll explain more in the OP for those curious about nostalgia :3

I have a bunch of Game Boy games I might be willing to unload for a modest fee:

-Pokemon Gold with original manual and official Nintendo Power guide, both of the latter heavily scrawled on (internal battery is dead, so every startup that's not a hard reset has you starting from scratch)
-Asteroids/Missile Command
-Final Fantasy Tactics Advanced (two copies, dunno how that happened)
-Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Seasons (still have a completed, deathless Three Heart Challenge run saved on that--by far my proudest video gaming achievement)
-Sigma Star Saga for GBA (lent out to some guy, but it blends walk-around RPG elements with a side-scrolling space shooter!)
-Tetris DX
-Star Wars Episode 1 Racer, all tracks and characters unlocked

My friend Jason got me into collecting... he has just about every SNES and N64 game released in the US and a decent NES collection too.

I just bought myself an N64 not too long ago with an apparently rare game and I'm working on getting a decent collection, I have about 10 games for it so far. It's hard to collect as a broke college student.

Edit: Just asked him and he has 676 SNES games. He hasn't counted his N64 collection.

Edit2: Might as well post my N64 games...

Lol, that's almost all of the US releases! There's only about 720ish.

I only have about 100 snes games, but I have a real problem in that there doesn't exist an accurate complete PAL SNES release list :/

N64 has a lot of great titles on it. Nintendo labeled titles aren't the only ones on it that were good... Wait, that was most of what was good on it. There's a few random 3rd party titles here and there that stood out in it's library, but overall the N64 doesn't offer as many 3rd party "gems" as other consoles.

Do you have an ebay account? Not that I'm actually interested in trading (the next game I want to get my hands on is MUSHA and this is going to take a while...), but just out of curiosity?
