Personally, gameplay > timeline to me. I liked WaW a lot, but I like MW a lot too.

Different games with different mechanics.

I prefer WaW over COD4. COD4 was overrated, and is the Socom of today's generation.

The online aspects are terrible, there is no overall ranking system or any real motivation to do anything.
