enjoy sleep while you can, especially if you plan on going to grad school
^this was a tip from my German teacher, I used to have him first period and he could tell when I'd pulled an all-nighter or two (everyone could) |

Re: what really grinds my gears..
When you're writing the letter e but then the top part is too close together and you wind up with something that looks like a c.

Or when you write a 0 but there's an opening in the top that you always feel like closing up.

Re: what really grinds my gears..
I hate when people write poorly in cursive and you just wish they would write poorly in print instead so you could actually read it.

those writing things bother me day in and day out. Anyway speaking of writing --When I'm writing with a mechanical pencil and the lead wont stop snapping --When I write something by accident and then erase to fix it, and then end up writing the same thing by accident again. and also unrelated to writing, when I am off by like 3-4 ticks on my locker combination and have to start all over again.. jkhljhoiuh so many times have I almost been late to class over that. edit: lol igr/qqwref nice Last edited by Pseudo Enigma; 11-6-2012 at 03:09 PM.. Re: what really grinds my gears..
when my prof gives a prompt for an assignment outlining the requirements, then says, "these are the minimum requirements for the assignment; if you want to get a B or an A, you have to show excellence and go beyond"
well fuccing give the requirements for a B or A then |

Re: what really grinds my gears..
it grinds my gears more when I accidentally realize that the school system is made of marks and not actual intelligence, knowledge or understanding. They don't give a shit about all that, and the biggest expectation is for you to get out of there as soon as possible.
ie. shove words up your ass, and then clench your anus so you can spill pseudo-knowledge diarrhea all over the page, rinse your ass and repeat until out of school. For best results; cram before the test. yeah I actually get my jimmies rustled about that. Sorry, I literally have nothing better to worry about yet. /17yrold edit: lol jrodd, I don't think there's a single canadian class that isn't considered special ed. Re: what really grinds my gears..
Probably classes with high amounts of subjectivity like English.

I hate it when you're trying to walk somewhere but there are like 3 people in front of you, taking up the sidewalk, walking side by side, at .00009001 MPH

Re: what really grinds my gears..
Subjectivity in English classes can get on my nerves SO BAD. I failed two English classes cause I couldn't be obtuse enough to figure out some hidden meaning behind EVERYTHING. Yes, Curly's Wife wasn't given a name. Maybe it's because she didn't have one, or no one mentioned it, or that was what people actually called her; not "She's a disposable character and should foreshadow her death," or some of the other bullshit I've heard in other essays.

Re: what really grinds my gears..
people who start telling you a story and then say "nevermind" then just trail off...
people who lie about even the smallest thing possible people who walk slowly in front of you people who take my posts seriously people who give you a one word response after you write them an essay people who talk behind your back people who use stress as an excuse for their anger problems people who are hypotritical people who ask a question and then answer it themselves people who ask rhetorical questions |

Re: what really grinds my gears..
Parents who think it's easier just to tell the world their child has Asperger's Syndrome than just accepting the fact that children are difficult to raise and you probably weren't ready for it yet. It's like what ADHD was 15 years ago, every kid has it; it's been so over-diagnosed. Parents would say their kid has it simply because a list of "10 qualities that might mean your child has Asperger's!" that they read online says they have 8/10 of them (Hint: these qualities are almost always just things kids do. Stuff like... "Does your kid ever hit other kids in the playground?" Yes. Yes he does. He's ****ing 4, what'd you expect?) So, insetad of just accepting that kids are TOUGH TO RAISE and doing some ****ING PARENTING and TEACHING YOUR KIDS HOW TO BEHAVE WELL IN A SOCIAL ENVIRONMENT, it's easier to just let the t.v. babysit them and tell everybody they were born socially inept and can't do anything about it. You people are what's wrong with the world, creating little miscreants with no concept of how to act appropriately among other people, or just generally treat others with respect.
Somewhat on subject, people who get pregnant WAY too young. Like, I get that you're a teenager and are SUPPOSED to be stupid, but smarten the **** up you aren't ready for that. |
