Razor:
Code:
(Reviews are done in DDream, and all sections will be appointed by times.)

#1 Route (Haru-ko)

- Offset moved to 0.325 from 0.300 (Might be a global issue thing)
- As a piano song, pitch relevancy should be key when stepping something like this.
- 0.900 and 1.350 should be moved around, with the 8th note at 1.800 being on column 4, but it's not noticeable when playing.
Should be fine there.
- Loved the accentuation here with the mini-holds at 9.000, 18.600 and so on and so forth. Very neat!
- Refer to note 2 for this section at 48.300 to 50.100, since they're the same thing.

Overall: Good stuff. Fun, easy piano file. Yes!

uSagi Logic (Haru-ko)

- Don't know what the deal is with the BPM on this file, but this is probably on purpose, lol.
- You have a TON of misrhythms at 11.220 (24th should be a 64th), 14.822. the 4th note should be moved to a 48th, the 64th to a 16th and the 12th to a 64th.
- 15.225 should be a 24th note, not a 16th. 17.228 needs a move to a 32nd as well.
- Don't understand the mine usage going on here. Seems as they're placed randomly to me and don't really follow anything.

Overall: Cool short file, reminiscent to FFR's Huisigi Usagi Milk Tei, but the charts needs to be touched up on.
It helps to slow the song down to be place the notes on things you're not sure of. In this case, fix the appropriate sections then try re-sending. For now, no.

Emotional Flutter (Haru-ko)

Could not review. DDream failed to open the file. But it already has 2/3 accepts. So it's in.

Snack Size (ddrxero64)

- 12.397: Random minijack, here. Don't know what it goes to.
- 13.655 - 15.203: Try to switch up your patterns here. This huge 8th note anchor type thing is rather awkward compared to how you step the rest of the following sections.
- 19.848 - 21.397: ^^^^^
- 24.106: This would play much better as a roll... but provided how easy the rest of this plays out.. I guess it's fine.
- 39.784: The jack starts on this 8th note here. 2 notes earlier from where you actually place it, (39.777)
- 42.687: Incosistent jack usage here. You have the previous 2 sounds stepped as jacks, but here.. you have it as [1][3][2].
- 48.881: ^
- 52.171: Refer to 39.784.

Overall: Very boring file. This could be fun provided it had something else going on, but as of now.. this has zero replay value.
With fixes to the jacks and some pattern variation and possibly some creativity, I'll give this an accept. In the meantime, no.

Hourglass (Alloyus)

- Great pitch relevancy here from the intro to about 14 seconds in. Very nice.
- 97.318 - 97.961: Try to avoid making jumpstream patterns with more than 2 common notes. These tend to annoy the player often and aren't very fun to hit.. especially if they have no relevancy to the music.
- 99.461 - 100.318: ^
- 110.818 - 111.461: ^

Overall: Chart was rather bland. Nothing interesting going on for a majority of it. Not something appealing, and most people would quit out of it half way through.
Try stepping something completely different. I'm gonna have to say, no.

Donk Madness (Housekeeper)

- 29.075 - 30.275: Extremely exaggerated. Not fun to hit this section, especially at 200bpm. Tone this down a bit.
- 39.275 - 39.875: ^
- 49.775 - 50.075: Unacceptable.
- 59.375, 68.975: ^. Try changing these to a trill, or some sort of broken run. These sets of jacks completely ruin the flow of the file.
- 88.475 - 98.075: Move to column 1.
- 117.275: Complete AIDS.

Overall: Not something I'd like for this pack. Either tone this down A LOT, or step something else. No.

Dishevil (Housekeeper)

DDream loads a blank file. You received 2 conditional accepts. Follow the fixes from other judges.

Can't believe It's Not Booty (Housekeeper)

10.581 - 48.245: Drags on and on with the same pattern concept. Some of the 64ths here don't really go to anything. Vary this up, some.
60.054: [13] jack is actually all 12th notes.
93.804: Random 16th handjack here.
Rest of the file: Decent.

Overall: Song starts to drift offsync during the stream, incosistent layering in some areas, beginning tends to be a bit of a drag, but nothing a couple fixes can't do.
Cool file, but mix it up more. For now, accepted with fixes.
Choofers:

Dishevil - Houskeeper
Lol, some of these patterns are absolutely brutal. You definitely need to tone down some of the patterns (some of transitions into the 48th walls are really weird, and that 64th wall at the end), or make an easier chart. I'd recommend making an easier chart. Besides some of the transitions, it flows pretty well and would make a great scoring file. Accepted with an easier chart.

Donk Madness - Housekeeper
DONK DONK DONK DONK. At first the file seemed a bit repetative, and then those jacks came in. I would tone those down, they're a bit of a difficulty spike and ruin the flow for that part of the file. The jumpstream is fine, but the file overall is a bit boring. Maybe it's the song's fault. Rejected

Emotional Flutter - Haru-ko
Piano solo in the beginning felt well done. I personally don't agree with focusing on the vocals but it fits well and makes the file a bit on the easy side. Nothing much to say otherwise, decent easy file. Accepted

Hourglass - alloyus
Had to quit out, the file went nowhere and was very boring. In the beginning, you changed what you were stepping everytime a new layer came in. Jumpstream dragged on and on. If you really want to use this song, I recommend cutting the song and taking a new approach to stepping this. As it is right now, it holds almost no replay value and honestly feels like something I would play on FFR. Rejected

I Can't Believe It's Not Booty 2010 - Housekeeper
Intro 16ths are really weird, that 64th doesn't seem to go to anything. Before the jumpstream, this part drags on quite a bit. Jumpstream is fine. Layering during the hardstream is a bit inconsistent, and there's a jack in the middle of it that goes to nothing. Ending seems to drift offsync a bit. Definitely fix the layering and try to make the intro more exciting lol. Accepted with fixes

Snack Size - ddrxero64
Played oni chart. You took a pretty interesting song and stepped it in a very uninteresting way. There are a couple misrhythms here and there, during what you could call the chorus (jack at m17, jack at the end of m40, jack at m49). The jumpstream that starts at m37 seems to be a 16th late. Nothing in the file is very attention grabbing, besides the 32nd part near the beginning and the 24th trills. As it is right now, it's an ok file. Fix the jacks and the jumpstream, and it should be good to go. However, I would really like to see a much more interesting file. As it is right now, it's pretty bland. Accepted with fixes

uSagi Logic - Haru-ko
I know what you're trying to do here, but keeping a static bpm throughout the file makes the stuff at m9 very very hard to read. The part before that is fine, it's just sound effects and it's synced well. The main part is 150 bpm. Fix that, and I'll accept this. Otherwise, rejected.

#1 Route - Haru-ko
Fun easy file. Not much else to say, it's easy and probably quadbait. Accepted
Elite Ninja:
Code:
#1 Route (Haru-ko) [Accept]
----------------------------------
- Not quite sure why you have a double on beats 39.50, 119.50, 179.50 and not on the others.
- Nice calming file. The pr was decent and the grace notes were nice.

Emotional Flutter (Haru-ko) [Accept w/fixes]
----------------------------------
- The 64th roll that you start at beat 23.94 should start at 23.69 instead. Also imo instead of repeating 123412341234 etc. I would vary it up with something like 12342314321234 etc.
- At beat 41.50 there isn't really anything that merits for a hand. Should be a double.
- From beat 138.50 to 142.50 it would be better if you PRed it more instead of repeating with [134]234[13]234[13]234 etc. For example you could go with something like [134]234[13]423[14]234[23]143[124(4 being a hold)].
- I liked the ending.

uSagi Logic (Haru-ko) [Accept]
----------------------------------
- Jumps don't seem to be layered consistently to a certain sound or instrument in the song.
- The mine dodging was fun. Fun factor is what got my accept.

Snack Size (ddrXero64) [Accept w/fixes]
----------------------------------
(first difficulty)
- The notes feel a tad bit early.
- Jumps don't belong at beats 18.50, 19.50, 30.50, 31.50 etc.
- A lot of the stream was not PRed to the song at all
- In measure 24 (and also other measures) you stepped a sound with something like [13]32 twice but you didn't continue stepping that same sound later in that measure.
- The jacks are wrong at the end. For example at measure 78 when you go 3311223433221. You could do something like 4311413313224 or you can just not have jacks and pr it with stream.
(second difficulty)
- First two jumps should be the same to be consistent with the jumps after them. The single notes at beats 33.00, 37.00, and 38.00 should be doubles to be consistent with the doubles at the beginning or you could change the ones at the begining into singles.
- You step jumps to so many sounds it's hard to tell what exactly they go to. Like from measure 37 to 45 I don't see what the jumps go to at all.

overall: With fixes this could be a cool file.

Hourglass (alloyus) [Accept]
----------------------------------
- Song was a bit repetitive but the overall it was nice and the PR was pretty good too.
- I always get confused at measures 67 and 71 because you don't place some notes there which isn't consistent with the rest of your file but then again it's a good thing because it would make the chart feel a little less repetitive.
- The stream from measure 61 to 64 could have used better PR.

Dishevil (Housekeeper) [Reject]
----------------------------------
- Cool dump file but dumps aren't allowed in this pack unfortunately. Save it for another pack.

Donk Madness (Housekeeper) [Accept w/fixes]
----------------------------------
- I noticed that from measure 22 to 41 you really like using the hand [124]. You should change it up a little more.
- Those jacks are evil haha
- That long right hand jack from measure 74 to 82 is off. The notes feel too early. It feels better with 12th and 24th notes.
- The single notes in measure 97 to the start of 98 should be PRed to the vocals.

Can't Believe It's Not Booty 2010 (Housekeeper) [Accept w/fixes]
----------------------------------
- Missing a jump at beat 112.00 and 128.00
- In measure 74 you have a random jack. Fix that
- The ending from measure 76 to 94 it goes off sync.
- Cool file. I ended up getting in trouble while playing it though lol.
