Favorite Books
Every few summers or so I seem to feel like reading a lot. This summer just so happens to be like that. I would like everyone to tell me the title of their favorite book(s). Maybe I will like them to.

Re: Favorite Books
One of my favorite books is A Lesson Before Dying. It is a good book and is similar to the book To Kill A Mockingbird.

Re: Favorite Books
Speaking of dying, "As I Lay Dying" by William Faulkner is a great book. Anything by Flannery O'Connor.

Re: Favorite Books
True... But if you're older than about... say... 16, you can really enjoy it. It's obviously not a children's book.

Re: Favorite Books
One of my favorite books is called The Giver by Lois Lowry, or something like that, and it's about this one community where everything is organized and there's no color or music... I won't spoil the book for you guys but I highly suggest it.

"A Child Called It"
I forgot the author, though. It's a good book (based on a true story) for people with strong stomachs. |

Re: Favorite Books
Why don't you try 1984 by George Orwell. It is interesting and really gets you think about what the government could be doing.

Re: Favorite Books
I liked Ender's Shadow a lot more. Bean was altogether a more lovable character.

"It's kind of a funny story" is a good book. forgot who wrote it though. it does have profanity and sex in it at times but still a must-read.

Re: Favorite Books
I haven't been able to get on the internet lately so I just saw the suggestions. They all sound like good books. I was just wondering if there are several more books about Ender's Game. And if so how many? Also could someone give a summary of The Phantom Tollbooth.
