![]() This has been a discussion I've seen pop up a lot recently and i'm genuinely curious as to what peoples tastes are that would have them make that choice.
Honestly it's either Horror show by Iced Earth or The Unraveling by Rise Against But for me picking between either of those would be like picking between monster hunter and rhythm games I can't do it. Hard question for sure but I'm curious as to what people think |

![]() Zorya by Floex. It has some songs for every mood and yet all flows cohesively, and nearly every song in the album is a certified banger

![]() Either it's Voyage by Refuzion or Clarity by Wasted Penguinz, I don't know which one is better but they are both amazing

![]() Birth of A New Day by 2814.
Actually probably October Language by Belong or Konoyo by Tim Hecker. Birth of A New Day fits my mood just as well as the other two though... Last edited by Wiosna; 12-3-2020 at 11:36 PM.. |

![]() Surprisingly, my answer to this question is not the album after which I named myself! But it's still by the same guy, so I'm actually not nearly as spontaneous as I think I am.
If I had to choose any one album, it would be Tim Hecker's Ravedeath, 1972. The stunning, relentless soundscapes alone are enough to keep me constantly enthralled, but the album has considerable sonic variation as well -- from the forceful, speaker-annihilating opening track to its subdued, elegiac closer, the record curves around in several directions while maintaining the pretense of continuity. I also just really like the idea of auditory detritus and the refreshingly unpolished nature of the album. Save for a minute or two of some bland shoegazey antics towards the ending suite, there isn't a dull moment throughout this entire thing. No matter how many listens I go through, I still make new discoveries because the album is so intricate and rewarding. Sorry, April, no surprises here. Konoyo and October Language are excellent choices. |

![]() ~~everywhere at the end of time by caretaker~~
now to not be a doofus, I'd go for The Glow pt2 (The Microphones), You Will Never Know Why (sweet trip) or Exmilitary (Death Grips) But I've only started being into music beyond pop ever since late 2018 (when I still played geometry dash on my iPad and just started listening to Exmilitary and partially The Money Store), and I could only express my reason why for these albums so much before conflicting with my vocabulary size and methods of bringing out my ideas in a concise way (If you have seen my discord presence, then you'll understand). also April, You suggested me to listen to October Language, I'll go listen to it again edit: how do I strikethrough text via HTML or code?

[s]strikethru[/s] = strikethru
The question in the OP is different than it seems. If I had to listen to the same album every day for the rest of my life, I would not pick an album that I enjoy since it would definitely spoil those songs for me. No matter how into something you are now, repeating it again and again and again and again for several years will make it go stale and the songs you once loved will transform into songs you hate and bordering on torture (which let's be honest is the premise of the question). For this reason I'd pick Dormant (Movement 1 Through 7) by The Flashbulb because of its short length and easy-going style.

edit: with calculations, 100 tracks with 5 hours of listening, but that would still get stale anyways and I think picking an album you like is a bad choice imo, since it would've taken you time to first, dislike it, then listen more closely, then finally enjoy the album, and this would definitely get stale, and since most albums have songs that are intertwined together, you'll start getting repetition from one sound sounding like another, and once you recognise a melody, it can become predictable, and the genre also matters, if it's something like pop or anything that has a very vague meaning in the deeper art world, you would truely be tortured, with sounds that mean nothing to you, so I suggest picking an album/collection/movements that has music that feel extremely different from each other, so much that you'll won't get insane from repetition too quickly, and melodies that you'll never truely understand nor remember nor predict, pick a genre that truely means something in the deeper world of art, something that means something to you, and pick and album/collection/movements that you'll definitely dislike at first, but soon love and appreciate, all to distance yourself from the inevitable but alas, I have questions: Also what is the point in playing ffr anymore? for aaa's? for fcs? for arrows? for the music? why do we play it and how long will we play it for? and about this thread: what rules are there to this? what are your intentions? is there a reason for all of this? Katanaeyegaming, pls tell me the longer I think about this, the less self-esteem I have Last edited by ElectricZap9; 12-5-2020 at 09:27 PM.. |

It is a perfect album (according to homo-sapient standards), it doesn't focus on any topics, themes, narratives, even Everywhere at the end of time's theme was focused on a human, on earth, material theme despite how ethernal and overwhelming it sounds. October Language just exists there, with no meaning or anything past the album cover or sound, But we humans foolishly perceived it as if it had meaning or if it actually existed on this earth before! No wonder why you're so obsessed with October Language, It's literally the holy grail of the concept of sound! ps: And one more message, if you decide to listen to Breakcore for the rest of your life, you're not a clown, you're the entire circus.

Transmission 3 is my favourite track in that album*, Idk about my favourite non-transmission/skit track though.
Also, you're technically listening to a bunch of albums instead of just one album since literally everything is sampled. *Transmission 3 sounds like a good interlude into Tekka (Velocity : Design : Comfort's opener) or even..... Everywhere at the end of time October Language. It goes it goes it goes it goes.....
