What would you do, given that you know you wouldn't fail?
EDIT: Rephrasing again for clarity:
The idea is that there are tons of things in life you don't do because you perceive them as being too risky. Let's say you had a time travel device. If you tried something and ****ed up, you could use the device and travel back to your "safe point" when everything was the way it was. Basic example might be starting a business... maybe something you've avoided because you don't want to risk financial collapse. But say you try it and financial collapse occurs. No big deal -- just travel back to the safe point. So, given that there'd be no permanent downside, what would you do? What particular risk would you take, and why aren't you taking it now? Can you think of ways to reduce the risk? Last edited by Reincarnate; 08-20-2012 at 11:58 PM.. |

Do we just get this thing like a wish or do we actually have to work at it.

Re: What would you do, given that you know you wouldn't fail?
Pshhh probably nothing out of the ordinary then. I don't normally go through life doing things thinking "I don't know why I'm doing this, I'm just gonna fail."

Re: What would you do, given that you know you wouldn't fail?
There are plenty of things you don't do because you think there's too much risk involved / you might get hurt / you might lose everything / you might fail / you might get in trouble / etc.
So, let's pretend you're told that risk wouldn't exist if you actually tried something. What would you do? EDIT: Are you guys seriously having trouble understanding what this question is asking??? |

I would just live my life like I do now except I would never fail. Sounds good to me.

Re: What would you do, given that you know you wouldn't fail?
Climb a mountain, start a business, start a successful thread on FFR (lol impossible), learn some seriously complicated shit like languages and stuff, pursue the girl I'm interested in, perhaps even commit some kind of crime just because it'd be something that not many people get to do and live on in their lives with. I guarantee I'd put more effort into minor things as well, as knowing I wouldn't fail if I tried would more than likely motivate me to a certain extent to do the things I want, rather than what I deem necessary in a lot of situations. I'd move. I'd start over most likely, even though I don't have much to live off of. If I couldn't fail, I wouldn't be concerned about stuff like that.

Re: What would you do, given that you know you wouldn't fail?
In all seriousness, if this actually happened I would probably be unable to do something I actually wanted for myself. I'd probably think like "win the lottery" or "somehow be good enough at SM to quad Dear Arch", but then I would feel like crap and ask for world peace or something of that nature.
I couldn't live with myself if I knew I wasted such an opportunity on myself alone. Unless of course I could learn magic and make anything I want occur (but that seems like it ruins the idea).
