A list of all Major Simfile Packs for StepMania v2

This is a double post, but I just wanted to bump this thread to say that SMO has officially exceeded 1,000 packs! Actually exceeded is the wrong word, destroyed rather.

SMO currently has 1,169 packs uploaded to the website! This has a total size of about 162.5GB.

I've got some pack classification to do, but it'll probably be slow due to watching the crap out of AGDQ. Qqwerf should have FTP access to upload the packs he has over the next couple of days, which by my estimate should put the pack total over 1300!

There really isn't a whole lot of Solo packs. I can name off what exists though:

Kmay said they had all of those except for Solord State Squad. I'll add that one to my list. Although I do admit I did assume they had all the packs of a given series where applicable.

Was downloading a whole bunch of packs and thought I could be perhaps somewhat helpful and highlight a few download links that arent working (atleast at the time of this post and for me).

Would it be possible to get my packs mirrored on SMO? Ever since the Mediafire links went down I've been scrambling to get them uploaded to multiple filehosts. My thread on FFR is here. You'll probably want to download them all from Zippyshare as it's a lot faster than DepositFiles.

Also, is it okay to hotlink to files on SMO, or should people just link to the downloads page?

You can share them in anyway you see fit. It is going to use smo's bandwidth either way. Not that I'm implying that is an issue.

They will be eventually. I have them all and soon I'll be uploading all the packs I have that SMO doesn't.

No problem!

Yes we definitely can, although from what I can see in the thread you have your files listed as parts of a whole pack, and that you've appended to it once already. Since this is the case, I'll give you two options regarding the uploading of your files:

1) You can declare each part as a different pack (I.E: Charlo's Metal Simfiles 1-12) and succeeding parts will be treated as new pack releases.

2) All 12 parts will be considered a single pack (I.E: Charlo's Metal Simfiles) and if you make another part it would be considered a new/different pack release.

I think people would prefer to only have to download and extract a single pack as opposed to having to deal with 12, but it is up to you. I am not sure how active of a stepper you are currently, or if you wanted to continue appending to this series instead of calling it a different pack project.

We'll just keep them separate, Qqwerf has it set up this way already, and it will probably be easier for you anyway Charlo if you make future releases.

I've been treating them as separate small packs (e.g. Charlo's Metal Simfiles Pack 6). A lot of people have released files in groups like that.

Alright, we can just keep it like that then.

Yep, all of them are separate packs, as they're not part of a single split archive. Also, I regularly release new packs (part 13 should be out in a few weeks). So I would prefer them to be all listed separately as "Charlo's Metal Simfiles Pack __" or something to that effect.

Just posting to say that the packs you requested to be hosted have been as of now Charlo.

Also there are a total of 1,223 packs hosted on StepMania Online, at a total size of ~170GB total. I should also mention that the indeed engine pack list has currently reached 1,304 packs! So once things are accounted for on both sides, expect a bunch MORE packs to be uploaded to SMO!

I guess they aren't going to do it, or maybe they just haven't checked the thread and realized the link is dead.

For those who are interested, there are currently 1,328 packs uploaded to the SMO website, with a size of about 176GB. My queue is currently empty, but when qqwerf starts uploading his stuff to SMO we might hit 1,500!
