Default Problems with my background

You know how there's about a second or two right before the whole entire song starts (even without an offset)? Well, during that second or two the "stepmania" background shows, but when the song starts the actual background shows. What should i do so the bg shows during the second or so before the song starts?

If you name the background file something along the lines of (song-title)-bg, then it should default to that. Otherwise, you'll have to put a background change at the first beat, which would result, I believe, in the problem you're having. I don't have this problem whenever I name the file with a -bg at the end. Though honestly, I've never had the problem period.

EDIT: Unless you're saying this happens in any song, not something you're making. In that case, I can't help you. But based on the forum and title, I think you're referring to a simfile you're making.

Yes i'm talking about a simfile i'm making. And it is named "Chimera- bg" but it still doesn't show until the song first starts.

If it's still not working, use Notepad:

Copy & Paste --> #BACKGROUND:Chimera- bg.png; (I believe this sets the DEFAULT background)
That should work, unless it's not a png file. In that case, use the right file extension.

After doing what I said, did you press Esc in the editor and go to 'Reload from Disk'? If not, you'll have to fix it again.
