So yo hey since most of us have been knocked out from the tourney we're gonna be kicking this back up on Monday

Until the new difficulties are revealed and we switch systems some of you are prob gonna be shuffled around a lil bit due to tourney placements
If your name in the spreadsheet is a different color and you're not technically in the next division on the leaderboards you have the option to play in your "current" division until the changes come around

New season means that we (finally) get to re-use some songs yey
I'm gonna make somewhat of an effort to include more FFRMania every now and then

What else

Finding time to have MP sessions, if you want me to I can put up a tab on the sheet which keeps track of when people can (reasonably reliably) be on multiplayer for everyone's reference - would need a message from whoever would like to be on that tab detailing your availability

Spreadsheet now has a darker theme

Also POST YOUR CONFIRMATION THAT YOU WILL BE PARTICIPATING IN THE NEXT SEASON OF THE EMG RIVALRY so I can confirm you on the sheet otherwise you'll be getting removed for neatness purposes, (or if I haven't seen you post/participate in a long long time you'll also be removed), the only ones currently on the season 3 sheet right now are those that were participating in the OT, and if your name is slated for a division bump, PLEASE CONFIRM if you'd like to do so to finalize the move

Looks like you anticipate me to be d6. I'd be suprised if my aaa equivalancy will show that when the difficulties for the tourney are settled. I suppose it's time to be back at the bottom of a division again. There's no where to go but up.

Also, my mp availablility tends to be monday and thursday afternoons, and occasional sundays.

You're pretty much set for top 8 as it is, and every other fellow top-8er has reached level 77/78 (and then there's jose)

Honestly the 3 of you in D5 that could move up are all still pretty borderline

You're still technically level 61 aka D4 but you're currently 4th in the tourney with scores that are much better than what a 61 is capable of

In general, top 8 are p much always at least a division higher than they're competing in when it gets to this point in the tourney

Basically if you tried to specifically increase your skill rating I'm confident you could hit D5. We'll wait on it for now (I just need to see some new scores on existing low-mid 70s)

Sign me up again for this. I'd like to stay in D5 please, I'd barely even consider myself borderline D6 anymore, uni has taken over and I don't no-life like I used to. Skill has dropped if anything. Funny how I have a D6 skill rating and didn't even make top 16 in D5 :P

Edit - on second thought, I'll ghost D6 to see if I can make progress.

@All There's been a mixup regarding funding, I'll send out the last 3 weeks of credits from my own funds, but for now until that gets figured out I'll be making a ranking points leaderboard for bragging rights etc.

Totally new idea
So I wanted to overlap some divisions with song choices and then I thought of this

So here are the expected ranges for song difficulties
[53-55]
[56-59]
[60-64]
[65-68]
[69-73]
[74-77]
[78-82]
[83-86]
[87-91]

Take the range your skill rating and play that song and the one above and below it

Then you're essentially competing on songs to those with a more similar skill rating to you, than have comparisons between 66v75 or 77v85 etc.
Basically a dynamic divisional system, because if you look at the list it's the same amount of songs per week, but it just slightly shifts which ones you play. Of course, you could be bumped up if its looks like you need more of a challenge, or you can bump yourself up anyways if you want to. This doesn't stop you from submitting scores for songs you're not competing on, and this setup makes it a lot easier to record ghosting scores.
If we do end up adopting this style, I'll move the new tab to a new Google Sheets (will need a new tab each week for this style) and share the link/put the link in the OP and keep the old one for an archive
