gg d4u and Priest, it was a hell of a run and I never expected to make it this far, especially considering i got my score during a period of time when i was vomiting profusely D: second place is more than good enough for me. <3
i'm super disappointed that you didn't beat my score by more, Priest. try harder next time, lmfao

Actually - I would've tried harder but my left hand was/is hurt very badly at the moment and I wasn't able to improve it.

Anyways, I'm done with FFR for a little while (by my standards that's like 1 week)
but GG to everyone in the 8th official and especially the keysmashing apes in D5 with me :P

I'll be working on getting out prizes today and whatnot, I actually need badges for 2nd and 3rd places because I hadn't realized there weren't any so those might take a little more time.

Priest I'm out for a while too, hehu; but it could be a few months before I come back to this game for real. I took this tournament a little too seriously and got a little too stressed about it + real life happened. No breaks from StepMania no matter what though :3

I gotta work on getting more hours at work - paying my rent every month and keeping up my school work

'twas an excellent run and I had one of the funnest tournaments of my life, you guys were all awesome and to be part of one of the tightest divisions this tournament. Everyone here showed awesome resolve when it came to improving their scores to become safe once again.

I really liked the nurturing attitude of the competitors this time around - there was encouragement for everyone to do better and be the best they could, rather than the condescending attitudes I've seen prior. Most of all, I like coming to the forms to discuss FFR because where I am, mainly because it's all esoteric knowledge at school; however that is a very subjective statement. The hype for this tournament was surely not misplaced by myself; I had a fantastic time, it really encouraged me to play a bit more FFR although I have continued to maintain my lazy attitude as a person. Sadly, the former will probably lead to the winter of my discontent; however much has already happened that can be considered as such.

I'd like to thank everyone who kept this tournament standing, even after the obnoxious down time the site occurred. From keeping the songs synced, to meeting the deadline every week; front page posts to crowd control, this has surely been an awesome tournament. I look forward to further tournaments as this one has convinced me to participate more. Thanks to everyone who fought hard and improved their score until their hands cried to the heavens. Thanks to all who were encouraging of myself and of others. To those who were graceful in defeat and continued to encourage players who were still standing. Call me a cynic, but my assumption lied in the belief that everyone was extremely arrogant, malicious and self serving. I was quite skeptical to post on the forums, afraid that because of a low post count or minimal presence that people would be rude to me.

You guys really proved that this is a caring community; from those in Team Blaze that helped me out during real life problems during the tournament, those that were assiduous in pointing out the good things in life to keep me in good spirit. Expectations I set were hopeful for a general indifference throughout the duration of this event, yet everyone was extremely polite and fun to be around. My attitude was quite sullen at times and I'd like to apologize for that, but to all FFR members, admins, stepfile artists and fellow competitors, I bid all of you glad tidings and hope to see you all in the 9th official! Thank you for the fantastic couple of months, guys.

I have to say I think this was one of the most smooth running officials we've ever had. Overall most people really did have a good attitude, file progression went relatively well imo, I think the placements were pretty damn solid, etc. Few minor things here and there, but can't expect perfection.

Thanks to all who participated, and an even bigger thanks to all those who had a positive attitude and encouraged people throughout.

What I found interesting and a good thing was in the last 3 rounds there was only 1 AAA in D1(and the person with the only AAA in the final 3 rounds didnt even win lol), usually you'd see someone skillboost or sandbag, but was neat to see a legit turnout in D1.

I shit my pants in bewilderment too. When I was talking to Rob before the tournament began, I was feeling optimistic about maybe finishing 5th. The fact that I had a perfect run until round 7... goddamn.

Overall I'm impressed with how this tournament went, and in particular, the quality of the harder files. I was expecting more dumpy stuff than what we got... but lo and behold, only Unconnected. was fairly dumpy (yet still manageable with frame fixes and decent pattern choices). I was especially impressed with the lower division scores, and after keeping my eye on D6, I suspect D7 will be that much larger in the next official.

Job well done, Kayla/AJ! (and difficulty consultants etc. but you're all bad so w/e <3)
