Re: Xoon 5: The Transition Submissions Open
Pasta (necros) and Tsuka have graphics covered since they make prettier graphics. If they both disappear for whatever reason before the release, I'll step in and help out otherwise I'm pretty much sitting on my ass judging

Re: Xoon 5: The Transition Submissions Open
(Bluearrowll) For Dolls Life
Layering is kinda quirky in a few sections of the file. You're missing a lot of 16ths that can follow the guitar rift in the background. Also my percussion pet peeve kicks in where you didn't layer it in when it was also dominant but you chose to follow piano chords instead. Solo file is fine but as a direct conversion to singles, this isn't. Rejected (Jimerax) Beatchic This is pretty fun. It kinda reminds me of my anime files, rofl. Accepted. (Cyrenics) Far From Home (1.5) There wasn't anything notable about this but as far as I can tell it's accurate. I don't see much replay let alone fun value in this so this can't warrant an accept from me. Rejected. (BeatofIke) Temptation...Hesitation...Action IMO following the melody with mini-freezes rather than jumps would fit much better. This would also let you layer in piano chords without cluttering your file which you didn't do which in turn irked me. Song and file were way too repetitive and it loses a sense of replay value everytime the verse repeats. Rejected (BeatofIke) Yurinpa Yutama maggot maggot You stepped MOSAIC.WAV, rofl. In beginning measures, you had the opportunity to layer the flute along with your 8th note stream but didn't do it. Overall file is decently structured and somewhat enjoyable however I honestly didn't see much replay value in this either because there was absolutely nothing notable about this. It's nothing but straight 8th+16th stream and gets a bit repetitive as the song and file progresses. Layered semi-accurately however this is not pack material, sorry. Rejected (BeatofIke) Fuchinkan Candy Generic file overall. More or less looks like a vibrajack file therefore I can not accept this. This is not what the pack is looking for. Rejected. (DDRBaller123) Winter V2 24th one handed trills are pretty dumb. Overall, very generic and I saw nothing notable about this file at all other than making a decent scoring file with the 24th stream stuff. Not what the pack is looking for. Rejected (Scylaax) Almagest Good song and all but god dammit stop stepping this song ~_~. File is layered differently than I expected however it's all weird/funky. I was expecting you to follow with 16th stream but you broke it up with 8th notes. As such I was expecting more 8th note stream but then you finally layer in the 16th stream which makes it all confusing and inconsistent when the same melody is playing throughout and breaks the flow of your file by quite a lot. File is different from all other Almagest files, yes, but it just simply didn't flow well and gets pretty damn repetitive.Rejected. (Scylaax) Rage Template lol background changes. File overall drags on and gets repetitive like most of your previous submissions. Decent scoring file but not quite packworthy material. Rejected. (Scylaax) Terahimeshinki Typical Scylaax layering technique and VGM file. I'd say this is the better of your submissions out of this batch. Straightforward and solid file however it drags on and the file itself is kinda dull due to the song. As such I didn't really see much replay value in this. Good for any other pack but for this one, I can't really say so. Maybe/Pending. Need opinions from other judges.

Re: Xoon 5: The Transition Submissions Open
it's not like you should stop working on it after it's rejected either, unless the reason is 'song choice'. keep revising

Re: Xoon 5: The Transition Submissions Open
finished groundhog (beat juggle), sending off to kommisar for post production 8)
also also also if your file gets rejekted and you don't want to try for acceptance then just release it, don't leave it in simfile limbo forever, maybe people will want to play it anyway (or you could compile a xoon 5 rejects pack hehu)

Re: Xoon 5: The Transition Submissions Open
preparing for gfx completion is always good since it takes a bit of doing.
apparently there's no active gfx artist on this pack. also it looks gundam is the only one who's acutually jugding this pack recently, rite |

As we mentioned before, everything from judgings and updates are posted over at Bluexoon first. I'm pretty much the only one that posts updates here regularly, lmao.

Re: Xoon 5: The Transition Submissions Open
it's not that it's just I find stuff to step I just never get motivated to start stepping them. I use to get motivated a while ago but now I get bored of playing SM. Most of the things that got me excited of playing SM happened allready.
