Blood, Sweat and Tears.
Literally, the title speaks volumes.
First of all, i apologize, I know i've been pretty inactive over the last several weeks but hopefully i'll be around more often now that things are taken care of. Having said that: 5 years after starting my Karate (Aikido, to be specific) on April 6th, 2007, i was tested for my Black Belt on Saturday, from midnight to 8pm, and I can honestly say the testing was more difficult than anything i've ever experienced in my life. Without further words, as i am now at a loss for words: I'm the one next to the one in all black, Sensei Parisi.

Re: Blood, Sweat and Tears.
congrats man. i bailed with a brown belt in jiujitsu while training for my black belt. i was just having more fun in judo. aikido is a little more harsh than both of those though!

Re: Blood, Sweat and Tears.
18 hours? Damn that must have sucked. At least you made through it all.
I'm a little confused by this; what do you mean by it? |

Re: Blood, Sweat and Tears.
Regarding the washing of uniforms: All I remember about belt systems is what I heard once in my Kyojute Ryu Kempo:
First you start with a clean white belt. It turns yellow from your sweat. It turns green from grass stains. It turns brown from dirt. It turns black from mud. Finally, it turns red from the blood of your opponents. Mad respect, Cammy. |
