Stupid catgut string
2nd Octave D broke AGAIN
I am sad... Greygor is taunting me... This is the 5th string that has snapped in about 3 months... Which for guitar players may not be a huge deal, but for a harp player its just plain annoying to spend $15-30 on a new string. AAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH I still haven't replaced my 5th octave F wire. It snapped, then I replaced it and it snapped while i was replacing it... The regulator is coming on tuesday to check out Greygor and make sure everything is working fine, I'll have him replace the strings for me </rant> Post stories about frustrations with musical instruments. |

Re: Stupid catgut string
I had a cat gut string for my violin a while back. Didn't like the stupid thing because every time I played for more than 2 minutes it would drop out of tune about 3 notes down. Never invest in cat gut strings.

Re: Stupid catgut string
Oh, they stop dropping in tune after you keep them relatively in tune for about 2 or 3 days...
that being said, i have 35 catgut strings i have to tune so dont be complaining <Edit> for you PETA freaks out there, its not actually CAT guy more like sheep and goats and stuff, occasionally cows, but mostly goats Last edited by soulofcerberus; 06-29-2007 at 04:18 PM.. |
