How often does anyone play this game anymore?

This question came across my mind a lot and I figured I'd ask it here. I feel like even after AGDQ, Stepmania is still declining in terms of activity and it just seems like there's barely a reason to play anymore. For me, I've been super busy with track/school and what not but even when I get the chance to play, it just doesn't feel the same anymore.

I really wanna keep pushing boundaries for this game and having fun with it but nothing's really convincing me to do so atm
