Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars

So I just bought this game today (for $35 used) since I've never played it before but I've heard and seen many great reviews about it, so I thought why not try it out for myself, and I can never not try a Mario game. Especially the older games. I effing love the Mario & Luigi series which are also turn-based RPG's so I'm sure I'll love this one too. I actually do already like it so far!

I remember when Geno was rumored for SSBB and I was so rattled when he didn't show up.

But yeah this is def top three for SNES games imo.

I love that game, I own 3 cartridges of it, too bad I never had a SNES! Only played at a friends + emulation

Have fun with everything (semicolon!) you're definitely in for a great time!

A fantastic game indeed, I payed $60 for it a while ago, but it's still worth it. That game is PK Rockin.

Favorite part of the game is actually towards the end (there are a crapton of bosses in a very short timespan relative to the rest of the game)

Also, the Smithy theme is pretty awesome. Smithy is such an underrated Mario nemesis that I wish we saw more of... somehow.

Yeah, it's definitely overdue for me. I'm currently in Booster Tower and I really love this game so far. I can see why it gets all the praise it gets! I should have got this game a long time ago!

I love this game too.

I bought it used for $3 from my local rental place a few years ago lol
box + cartridge but no manual :<

I made it to the final boss but never got an opportunity to sit down and play it. Then too much time had passed and I had to start over because I need everything to be fresh.

So a few years later I tried again, got to just before the final boss, and my save battery died.

Anyone get that Super Jacket or whatever it was without cheating? Can't remember if that's what it was called -- you had to successfully pull off a crazy number of jumps in battle mode with Mario to win the thing

best snes game all time, but on my 2nd playthrough i randomly found the lazy shell and it ruined the game for me. made mario able to solo culex. fuckin dumb...

I think they're both great. :> If I had to make a list...

1. Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga
2. Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars
3. Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story
4. Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door
5. Mario & Luigi: Partners in Time

It's a tough call for me since I love both games so much... but I think that either Super Paper Mario or Paper Mario: Sticker Star has to be the worst Mario RPG game. SPM completely removed the battle system, and Sticker Star was too happy-go-lucky in my opinion. I like that the Mario & Luigi series keeps the same battle system. Excited for Mario & Luigi: Dream Team too. Hopefully it won't change things too much.

you had to do a 100 jump combo with the super jump, and yes i did ;P
the ONLY thing that stopped me from 100% was getting that stupid piece of sh!t hidden box in the main hallway of the mushroom castle.

Also, be sure to buy fireworks and trade it for a shiny stone. the stone will open the way for a very special surprise
