Rarest armor in the game? It's 2 patches old, how is it the rarest? Isn't D2 on patch 1.12 right now or 1.13 or something? This armor was released in 1.10 =\

I guess they really nerfed the drop rates after 1.12, damn. There should be quite a few of these going around if it's a 1.10 item I would think. The D2 community still has a lot of addicts, I wonder why it's rare..

the drop rate is insanely low, I'll probably just end up selling this at d2jsp or save it for the next d2 patch if another one comes out.

Pretty sure that something like Griswold's Heart is closer to the rarest drop in the game. Sacred Armour as a unique has a lower item level and can drop off more stuff. (Also, -Fallen- there's no rule against admitting that you bot another game, it just means we can point, laugh, and generally ignore what he has to say about D2)

Actually I looked into it, and there are 4 entire classes of armour that are more rare than sacred armour. So any Colossus Girdle, Corona (Griswold's helmet), Vortex Shield (Griswold's shield), or Dream Spirit is a more rare drop than any sacred armour. (Though obviously a white/blue instance of those is more common than the green/gold but hey.

Or maybe we'll have fun PLAYING THE GAME. I know it's a difficult concept to understand, but for some people actually playing the game with our friends is the point of playing the game at all. Not just solo grinding or botting to get some piece of gear to PvP against someone who is probably also using all kinds of cheap hacks or dupes.

Fair enough, just don't expect people who play the game to be impressed with your collection of items when you didn't get them legitimately that's all.

You might try going back to V1.10 and loading up the Nezeramontias mod if you're looking for something to put life back into your playing of D2. It's a ridiculously good mod that will give you all kinds of new things to do.

I wish there was a classic 1.08/1.09 server to play on, but there's too many dumbass mods out there, with too much **** to even bother to get into..It's like learning a whole new game all over again and it's not very appealing..


EDIT: I installed D2 and I decided to play for whatever reason, I'm playing 1.12 Classic.

I'm telling you man, Nezeramontias for 1.10 LoD is such a great mod. It's basically still the same game, just a lot harder, and with a lot more stuff to get.

(If they reverted back to 1.08/1.09 I would totally still be playing d2)

I looked up on that exact mod when you first mentioned it a few posts ago, there is just WAY too much stuff going on in that mod, way too many rune words and new items, new monsters, new maps..just unreal.

Well, when you've played all the way through hell as every build of every class, and the game is pretty much just trivially easy now, something with that dramatic of a change adds months worth of fun and new playtime to the game.

They certainly ramped up the difficulty, which is the nicest part. Early on, you actually have to run away from things now and then because you just can't kill them.
