Angels and Demons
From the perspective of someone who did not read the book so no comparison can be made, i thought the movie was very well made and entertaining. Somewhat fast paced story line and the ending was a huge pile of win.
Not to mention Hans Zimmer once again shows why he is one of the best movie composers with a truly amazing soundtrack I really enjoyed this movie and will def buy it on DVD when it comes out. What does everyone else think about the movie/music and people that read the book and saw the movie need to post here. <3 |

Re: Angels and Demons
book is garbage, movie is boring hollywood fodder with some nice acting but that was probably fueled by the fact that i knew everything that was going to happen...
do not recommend unless you're just looking for "mindless summer fun" in which case the $10 admission fee should probably deter you anyway :goseestartrekinstead:

Re: Angels and Demons
this was a very entertaining movie, as somone who didnt read the book, it was good having no idea what would happen, it was great acting.
to somone who has read the book, it would be mildly entertaining...you would expect all the twists and stuff, and the length would bore you. but yes this movie is win.

Re: Angels and Demons
lol saw it the first day it came out, and loved it. although, i really want to get it on DVD or rent it or something because i'm pretty sure there were clues to the Camerlengo being part of Illuminati, and i want to find them.

Re: Angels and Demons
for people who like mystery stuff with clues that are given to you so you don't actually have time to try and figure it out yourself, its a good movie.

Re: Angels and Demons
I read the book, but that was like 5 years ago, so I forgot a lot of the things that were in it. Nonetheless, I thought it was a good movie and it was fun rediscovering what happened. I also think Tom Hanks makes a great Robert Langdon.

Didn't read the book, just saw the movie.
And it's... okay. A little slow paced. Eh.

Re: Angels and Demons
So is this movie recommended or not? I saw the first one and loved it. But I don't want to spend money on this movie if it's not worth it.

Re: Angels and Demons
If you liked The DaVinci Code, you don't like good movies, so you'll like Angels and Demons.
and by the way, DaVinci Code was probably the worst book ever written. I've never read A&D, but I figure it's more of the same "boring static characters who possess exactly the right skills to solve the AGE OLD MYSTERY and then fall in love" bull****. |

Re: Angels and Demons
I read the book when I was in 7th grade, I'm a rising junior in HS now.
Last week I watched it with my boyfriend and I knew it was going to be mediocre after I watched the Da Vinci Code. Once again I was sorely disappointed at the outcome of the movie. Not only were the characters bland, but the movie was so slow-paced. |
