Re: 8th Official FFR Tournament - Final Round!
I have to say -- one of the things that I like about the last two tournament files is that they really emphasize a level of control, but from two completely different areas of the game, and that's why I personally enjoy my file. Jamais Vu is great because there are just so many places where a run can go wrong due to your hands refusing to comply with a simple pattern, and Unconnected. presents this challenge with very forceful/constrained jumptrill timing, haha. I personally love how different the final is this year.
I won't sit here and say the final is "amazing" because fuck, it's a 94 and it's bound to get absolutely batshit stupid in some spots, but all of the 90+ files have something in them that make you go "...really?" |

LMFAO that boo count, and the FC to top it off. Bravo, Kevin (clap).

I dont care how anyone else finishes this tournament. This replay wins every division.
Just sayin'

Re: 8th Official FFR Tournament - Final Round!
8-0-3-0 sightread on Unconnected. Those 48ths are faster than what I first perceived in the replay... but this song is absolutely horrendous.
Edit: Actually it's hilarious how hard it is for me to hit these 48ths because it feels like mashing rather than accurate hitting of the patterns and I somehow have this reflex where if I start to mash I stop for a split second... and that's why I get so many misses. Re: 8th Official FFR Tournament - Final Round!
I find Unconnected. easier on mirror in general, although there's one pattern in the 900s where I get at least 6 goods (similar to what Doss said earlier -- you get off by a frame and you're sitting on a shit score almost immediately).

Re: 8th Official FFR Tournament - Final Round!
I pretty much have to mirror Unconnected. since the beginning and ending become loads easier. The middle bridge part thing is a little more awkward though :s

Getting the hang of these bursts and nailing the hands that follow them...
Still no FC, but this is my best raw score yet. |

I'm content knowing I came 3rd in my first official, but it won't stop me from trying to AAA this beast
