a question for masters
Hello,
I don't think i'm a noob anymore but this is kinda noob question.. :P SO! Has anyone ever mastered FFR without the help of stepmania? Has someone 100% FFR player AAA'd a 85+ difficulty song? I started rithum gaming with FFR and first time heard about SM in this site. That lead to a terrible accuracy, as I haven't had a chance to try hit marvs. Usually I hit one perf out of 7 marvs in SM. In FFR I keep hitting random goods in really easy patterns, which bugs me hard. I've noticed myself that after a few weeks of SM my scores in FFR will sky-rocket. Now after a long break I've been playing for two months and haven't noticed much improvement about my skills.

Re: a question for masters
MrPreggers/Tim Allen, Jerry DB and subin did get a couple of FGOs/difficulty 85+ files without Stepmania, those are just the people I can recall off the top of my head though.
SM's really ideal for speed training, that's pretty much it haha. You'll lose some accuracy though. |

Re: a question for masters
actually i was only able to get up to an 84 AAA :s missed out on a few others but it's definitely possible to AAA everything without SM as long as you play enough

Re: a question for masters
it probably has to do w/ SM having many more 80+ files than ffr. So you can push yourself a lot of different ways before mindblocking every file
