Re: Just traded in my Xbox 360 and games
2 years ago I traded my ps3, army of 2 40th day, brutal legend, mortal combat vs dc universe, and dbz raging blast for 220 bucks at gamestop(at the time those were kind of pricy games). I regret it of course

I refuse to sell such hardware for so little. I'd rather just keep it.

Re: Just traded in my Xbox 360 and games
Just traded in some games for the first time ever. I bought a new computer, but it took up most of my cash so I haven't had money for new games. I traded:
Portal 2 (Xbox 360): $20. I 100%d it AND have it on PC, so I have no use for it. Pokemon White (DS): $20. Beat it, don't have a lot of friends who like Pokemon so I had nobody to battle. Super Mario 3D Land (3DS): $23. Beat it and haven't played it in a long time. I got about $67 total for the three since I had the boxes and manuals and stuff. I used that to get some Steam codes for Dishonored.

Re: Just traded in my Xbox 360 and games
I traded in a whole bunch of old genesis games for 100$ once. None of them were notable, but the most I got from one game was 4$.

Re: Just traded in my Xbox 360 and games
Best buy sometimes do a deal where they give 100% bonus trade in value.
So.. I traded in 2 Halo Reaches. 1=$12 after bonus it's $24 so I got $48 best buy credit for 2 games.. not bad. |

I got a better deal trading my games to GameStop ($90.30 vs Best Buy's $53.00).

GameStop wouldn't even give me in-store credit for a trade-in of my pre-owned copy of Stepmania 3.95 CVS

I never sell games except for one time I was desperate and sold all my xbox games to get one of the WoW expansions and some game time.

Re: Just traded in my Xbox 360 and games
Bought 4 Pokemon games (2 Gold ver., 1 Silver ver., 1 Pokemon Stadium) from a guy on Craigslist for $10 apiece, then turned around and sold them for $25 each. Profit: $45.
Sold a box of SNES games for $50, all of them were pretty common games and I think I paid about $22 for the lot if I remember correctly. So that would be about $28 profit. Most recently I bought Mortal Kombat I, II, and III for the Sega Genesis, all complete with boxes and manuals, plus a guidebook for MKII, I paid $7.50 for the lot at a local thrift store. If I decide to sell them I will ask about $40 and see if I get any offers. I only just got into VG trading/collecting a couple of years ago and I don't really have the capital nor the courage to start buying and selling sealed rares yet, but I'll get there eventually. As for GameStop, I try to avoid doing business with that store whenever possible. Even if they did buy and sell the older games that I'm interested in, their prices would likely be unfair. Typically I buy and sell on the internet (eBay/Craigslist). I do occasionally buy and sell at three local brick and mortar stores, but they're all pretty far from my home (13 miles, 18 miles, and 27 miles away) so I don't visit as much as I would like to, thanks to rising gas prices.

Re: Just traded in my Xbox 360 and games
I was dumb a few years ago and traded all my Super Nintendo games & PS2+random Gameboy & some N64 games. Got something like 500 bucks for all the shit, but thinking about it now I would much rather have just kept them...did need the money though.
The most I got for a single item though for 50 bucks cash for Marvel vs Capcom 2 on PS2 |
