Default Rate of improvement

I was just wondering how fast the general rate of improvement is for most players? I recently started playing again in the last week after a long haitus.

Right now I'm playing on 2.5 speed and I feel like I'm hitting a brick wall when it comes to actually reading songs that are 60 and above. There are constant patterns I can't comprehend and when I try anything 80+ it's just mashing a wall of arrows.

My improvement has been so slow that it feels like I'm doing something wrong or just aren't capable. Is 2.5 too slow for harder songs or should I force myself to go faster?

Or is it possible that a lot of people cap out where I am and improvement isn't even possible?

Default Re: Rate of improvement

There’s a huge difference between 60 and 80 so don’t fret. Just set your scroll speed to something comfortable for now and your reading ability will get better.
