Re: scariest movie you ever seen?
The first movie to ever bring the emotion of fear to my life was E.T. when i was 7 or something or younger lol.
First movie that scared me and still does is the shining, the way it's filmed is just creepy and certain shots. The changeling was a movie i saw when i was young also, one part of the ball bouncing down the stairs traumatized me; yeah scary movie spoof'd it rofl Any movie with little girls in it and random things like kids meowing and girls standing over you while u sleep scares me. Same goes with children standing in dark hallways. If I had a daughter it wouldn't be rare for me to take a running start and drop kick her in the face while she got up to go to the bathroom. yeah im a pansy and everything scares me ;_; |

Re: scariest movie you ever seen?
It. Saw it when I was... 8 I think. It was on TV. Scared the hell out of me. Especially at the end where the dude is making out with the girl and then it turns into the clown.
Also, The Exorcist scared the crap out of me. Saw it alone in my house when I was like 13. Maybe 14. This didn't scare me but like 4 years ago I saw The Texas Chainsaw Massacre (the old one) and it's put me off horror movies forever. It just disgusted me.

Re: scariest movie you ever seen?
The Blair Witch Project stands out to me. I saw the right when it came up when i was 9 or something when we lived in crappy apartments. watched it completely in the dark and holy cow it was scary. i still watch it every once in a while now. really good video :P
movies dont really scare me now, its more of just the random spook moments that make me jump. the only movie to give me nightmares was Wrong Turn. Not sure why because ive seen plenty of movies worse off. but i dreamt my sister was trying to kill my family so i chased her into the woods and snapped her neck in half |

Re: scariest movie you ever seen?
Why do you have repressed dreams of killing your sister. That's not healthy.
Good horror usually needs a fair amount of suspense build up, where nothing happens but you know something isn't right. High Tension is a great movie for this, until the last 5 minutes. If you cut that out, it'd be superb. Nowadays you have to find foreign films because americans have lost the touch, I think. With Hostel and Saw appealing to teenagers because of it's torture porn style, it's much easier to slop a bucket of fake blood over everything and flash tits than it is to have to work on something. |

Re: scariest movie you ever seen?
I don't really get "scared" by movies, it's just the random things that pop out make me jump.

House on Haunted Hill scared me when I was little. It was a good movie though. The scene where the chick with the camcorder was in the operating room freaked me out.

Re: scariest movie you ever seen?
Bumping this because more people need to see how a scary scene should be done.

Re: scariest movie you ever seen?
The Exorcist 3's hedgeclippers scene was pretty downright scary, come to think of it.

Re: scariest movie you ever seen?
Hard to say, I've watched horrors since I was 8 and nothing has really struck me beyond the viewing experience. The bath-tub scene from "The Shining" and some version of "The Fly" might have struck me a little bit. From modern cinema it's even harder to pick good candidates for this, "Noroi: The Curse" maybe or Takashi Miike's "Audition" as it reaches the climax.

Re: scariest movie you ever seen?
It was an Asian flick called Infection. It was about a group of hospital workers that accidentally kill a patient, and then a deadly virus infects all of the workers. Basically their insides were liquified, and everyone bled green instead of red. I love horror films, but this one was scary in a gruesome way. Go watch it!
