Math Credit Challenge
Ask me any math question (that can actually be solved), and if I get it right, you owe me 100 credits. If I get it wrong, I'll give you 200 credits.

Re: Math Credit Challenge
lol, brb.
What's the sum of the function f(n,a) = 1/(n^2+a^2) over all n in element of the natural numbers and for any a in element of the complex numbers. No using math programs. This is part of my favorite math problem. Or you could do my favorite problem. Starting with the geometric series prove that the above sum from 1 -> infinity for a = 0 is equal to pi^2/6 (this doesn't require complex analysis, just creative thinking).

Re: Math Credit Challenge
Find the area of the surface that is part of the sphere x^2 + y^2 + z^2 = 4z that lies inside the paraboloid z = x^2 + y^2.

A formula exists which will allow you to determine the sum of the first N terms of the infinite series above. What is the formula and what is the sum of the first 10 terms? I can make harder ones if you desire >__>

Re: Math Credit Challenge
How about the Riemann Hypothesis?
... Okay, is all seriousness... what is the next number in this sequence: 6, 35, 143, 323, 667, 1147, 1763, 2491, 3953, 5183... Ten numbers should be enough to get rid of ambiguity of the sequence.
