Re: Turbo (87 or ???)
you guys are giving pretty weak reasoning for it being an 87 in contrast to what dynamo posted. not only that, the reasoning contradicts itself.
this entire argument is hinging on the fact that a particular player isn't good at the file. you can use this to justify any rating for a file targeted to any skill set and it falls apart. Last edited by Fission; 10-14-2013 at 06:50 PM.. |

Re: Turbo (87 or ???)
Its simple. its not as easy as the other 85's. I just looked through all the 85's and in comparison this is wayyyy harder to FC let alone score good on. The other 87's compare to this really well. I dont really care where it is because no matter where it is its still just as hard but i really dont think bumping this down is a good idea. Five AAAs? Yeah not that easy.
Jumping from 7-0-0-4 all the way to 29-0-0-2 for one rank on the scoreboard SHOWS this fact. Its HARD.

Re: Turbo (87 or ???)
I personally feel like it's overrated but I'm someone that's good at jacking. Overall it seems a lot of people on FFR struggle with jacks.

Re: Turbo (87 or ???)
here sk8rboi let me break it down to you as a proper d7 player since you obviously have close to zero idea of what you're talking about
these are the current 87s Tell v3 (Extended Mix) - requires more control as there are jacks in sets of 3s, as opposed to turbo where you can just keep jacking at a relative speed Rage Template - has an insane 48th burst at 200bpm and lots of tricky transitions, and is also relentless all throughout the file Red Wings Over Baron - requires serious consistency, especially the ending 4 minutes where you are thrown easy to split jumps at high speeds for 10 seconds and longer, not to mention the entire song is 7+ minutes St. Scarhand [Heavy] - has jacks that are harder to hit than turbo, and is full of hard jack transitions as opposed to turbo Chik Habit - relentless throughout entire file, full of rolls and we all know about that insane wall Music (For Kirby) - absolutely insane ending, jumpjacks that are faster than turbo Kirlian Shores - insane bursts, full of hard to read 64ths, not to mention it has a mega wall vs Turbo - just.. jacks and some mild jumpstream, that's it, and 5 AAAs in a week, some of them not even the usual top-end d7 players as opposed to <5 AAAs on some of these files after 2, even 3 years |

It is NOT just jacks, its VERY FAST jacks with jumps squashed in them. But yeah i doubt we as a community are going to come to an agreement on this file because simply some people struggle with this and others dont.

Re: Turbo (87 or ???)
Guess I forgot to mention that it's also hard even for me, but I think I mentioned something about it being speedy and difficult. Derp.

Re: Turbo (87 or ???)
also not to mention turbo is a very short file
length contributes a lot to difficulty in the higher end files, which is why you see many more AAAs on files like hero reconsidering, turbo, pandora as opposed to rain, vortex, rwob, chik habit i mean if a 87 gets 5 AAAs in less than a week from release it's saying a lot about the difficulty of the file Quote:
i bet if he tried rwob or chik habit he would get absolutely destroyed and precisely because of this the file should be lowered to something like a 85 to cater for people who have an easier time with jacks, and those who have a hard time with jacks |

Re: Turbo (87 or ???)
Not really. People who can jack really well might still have trouble with the beginning jump jacks on Death Piano.

Re: Turbo (87 or ???)
Huh? Pretty sure im putting in better reasoning than you. The scoreboard shows that this file is hard, def not an 85. ONE rank jump is from 7-0-0-4 to 29-0-0-2.
