Re: Guitar Hero. Awesome.
Got my Log in GH2 today
I still have Six, Jordan, and Less Talk More Rokk to 5*. Six will take work for the whole thing, Jordan I have still yet to pass lol, and I can't do ascending scales so LTMR will be pretty tough.

Re: Guitar Hero. Awesome.
So uhh, I just registered today after knowing about this site for years now and lurking it on occasion. If you go to SH, you probably know me, I'm USSJGotenks there as well.
Anyway, I FCed Sam's Solo on slow today after about 15 minutes of practice, but the strumming after the trills rapes me everytime gah. p.s. Tibs, bad score for -1 in solo. Still beats mine, it's by far my worst song in GH period. Nice job on 44 FCs as well, you get BiF yet? Last edited by USSJGotenks; 05-29-2008 at 07:18 PM.. |

hello USSJ =) Welcome to FFR!
I keep forgetting that I can actually PLAY GH at home, without a 360...although my whammy bar is broken, so I can't get great scores >_>

Re: Guitar Hero. Awesome.
hey shash, what's your rank on guitar hero right now? I hear you're really good. Anyways, prolly the best thing I could brag about is i'm like 20-30th best on PSN, but that's not really saying anything because hardly anyone has PS3. I bet me and Tibs are the only ones in this thread lol.

I have a PS3. Just no GH3 for the PS3. I might pick it up. We'll see.

Re: Guitar Hero. Awesome.
I got -2 on Institutionalized's verse 2D today, and -4 on 1C of it aswell. Only two sections I haven't FCed of the song gah. So maybe FC soon? I'm pretty consistent with verse 3 as a whole besides 3E in it heh.

Shash got from no rank to rank 12 on Xbox 360 in about a week. To get an XBL/PSN comparison, Tibs would be about rank 1200 on Xbox Live, judging by how good he is.

Re: Guitar Hero. Awesome.
I pretty much stopped playing GH2 regularly after 5*ing Free Bird expert. 5*d most of expert, had about 10 songs left.
Is GH3 worth getting? |

If you already have Rock Band, whoops. GH3 was an okay purchase for me - I got a month or so of enjoyment out of it.

Re: Guitar Hero. Awesome.
Rock band is expensive, and I only have a PS2 (still getting good games from it though).
I mean it seems like a ton of fun, but ya, money. |

Re: Guitar Hero. Awesome.
You can just pick up the disc and use your SG to play guitar and ignore the other instruments. I wouldn't recommend that, though, because the guitar has limited replay value without online play. The full package is truly worth the investment if at all possible.
[opinionated] GH3 is OK but the fact is Harmonix is simply better at charting than Neversoft. GH3 has a better soundtrack, but it got ruined by Neversoft's inability to make an accurate chart. [/opinionated]

Re: Guitar Hero. Awesome.
Also, as far as feel, attention to detail, and general fun goes, Rock Band is far better.
It may be expensive, but it is very, very worth it.

Re: Guitar Hero. Awesome.
It's persuasive but I probably wouldn't use the online stuff enough to get enough replay value out of it. I probably will avoid both to be honest. Still, if Rock Band ever came down in price I would consider it.
Rock band does look awesome after all, same sort of note graphics as o2jam. |

Re: Guitar Hero. Awesome.
Yeah, Chris's score is insane. FC will come soon, as I knew it would. Tisk tisk to those that said it was impossible ;o http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X4G0qtoz9b8 vid if you haven't seen it.
I haven't been playing much at all lately. Honestly, since I was banned from scorehero unfairly I haven't played at all, though I did get 94% on TTFAF first try anyway =/ Overall I'd say I've actually *improved* a bit despite not playing. However, on songs that require a bit of memorization like TTFAF my score has gone down some.

Woah, you mean on a sightread? Do you mean 94% complete, or notes hit? If that's notes hit, that's ridiculous for a sightread or play. |

But 94% notes hit. I think the score was around 680k. The PS2 version has incredibly annoying lag spikes!! Arg.
