Texas.
Well its time for my next random roadtrip of 2008. This time I'm going to Texas. That means we need to set up some meetup locations in Texas, because I know a bunch of people live there.
In one week (6 - 10 days from now, more like), I plan on leaving. I'm most likely gonna be staying in Texas for an entire week, if not a few days more. First I'm going to Houston for a few days. Staying with Tsuka/DigitalSeraph and doing stuff in that area. Meeting whoever lives around there. Then I'm going to San Antonio for a day or two. We're gonna hang out with Arch0wl and HST (SM guy) and again, whoever else is in the area. We'll spend a day or two there. Then when I head back to Missouri, I'll probably stay in the Dallas area for a couple days as well. I already have places to stay in all the cities and everything. So I'm just wanting to know who all wants to come hang out for a while Also... I have a request/offer for someone that lives north of Missouri. (Iowa, Minnesota, Wisconsin, etc). If someone from that area wants to come down to this meetup.... if you can stop by Decorah, Iowa, to pick up one of my friends, then get to Kansas City, I'll take you the rest of the way to Texas, for free. (You still have to pay for your own food and for whatever we're all gonna be doing for that week) |

Re: Texas.
I'm staying at Tsuka's house for a few days while I'm in Houston. I think I'll also be hanging around Katy, one of those days or something.
Houston meetup location could be Planet Zero or something. I don't really know the area so I don't know what's down there. |

Re: Texas.
Sure. My car seats 5, but I'd rather keep the max at 4 people. Fitting 3 people in the back seat for 9 - 11 hours probably wouldn't be too fun

If we have to, we can strap kids to the top of the car.

Re: Texas.
It's probably gonna be a tight fit with only 2 in the back, if my memory of your car serves me correctly.

Re: Texas.
Its not too bad with 4 people in the car, but its not a 4 door car, so a 3rd person in the back wouldn't really have any leg room

Re: Texas.
Texas itself, to be honest, might be a bit boring. There isn't a lot of stuff to do unless if your willing to go to a waterpark that is near San Antonio or by Galvestion. There are a few arcade places over by houston and katy that might be okay. (Like Planet Zero, or Raves)
Tsuka has a pretty small house but he has a **** load of stuff that you can do over his house. You will probably have the most fun there in the houston area IMO. In my opinion, I think the most fun you will probably have in Texas are meeting other SM/FFR players over the area and perhaps the acrades or if you're willing to go to a waterpark then that would be the most fun you would have. Don't worry about finding restaurants, we have a **** load of them. xD

Re: Texas.
You could always make your way down to the Kemah Boardwalk (a 45 minute-1 hour drive depending what part of Houston you're driving from).
They have several restaurants, attractions, events, and places to shop. |

Re: Texas.
Yeah, I'd like to go to Denver for a day or something and drive through the mountains, then go to Texas because that looks fun, but my car has 146,000 miles on it and I don't know if I should put a 2500 mile trip on the car. Just going straight to Texas makes it a 1500 mile trip, which is better on the car.
