Re: 8th Official FFR Tournament - Round 4!
I dont think it should be that stupid with difficulties, but would have been better to see the tourn start off with something like Weapon instead of those borefest AAA me type charts to D6 got. People are in D6 because of their good PA/scores on guru songs, so the first few rounds should at least start off with high FMO/low FGOS(old scale). Just makes more sense for the division. Im not surprised people are AAA'ing this song, just looking at the people in D6 there are plenty more AAAs to come on this song, its not that bad, its actually a legit type song for early in the tourn. Complaining about the amount of AAAs on it is pretty lol.
Not trying to start shit, just saying Etienne should have been bumped to D7 a round or two ago while it was still early just because he was pretty borderline to being with and his recent SM scores clearly are D7 worthy. Not complaining, just commenting on yo comment :P |

Re: 8th Official FFR Tournament - Round 4!
Wow I mention one thing and I get the rain of terror from AJ and Kayla. I'm getting fed up with you two bitching at people for shit. Seriously. For one notice the "" after my edit. I joke like that. yes I agree with cut throat style tournament, but for obvious reasons, I don't agree with most fucking placements in this tournament as it stands.
I mean, people who can 50g Do I smile shouldn't be in D5 when some of D6 can't even do that. But, oh yeah, what's it matter, you're done hosting tournaments after this anyway kayla, so it's whatevs. |

Re: 8th Official FFR Tournament - Round 4!
Admittedly, he was on the high end of D6, but compared to the initial D7 lineup, he didn't have anything that was retarded enough to put him into the ranks of D7 at the start, and the only thing that people have been bringing up are his SM scores, over and over again. The files that Etienne has been doing good on could be done on FFR by the other high D6 players if converted over.
It goes without saying: there will always be a top end and bottom end for each division, and the same goes with any rhythm game like this. |

Re: 8th Official FFR Tournament - Round 4!
Where would the competition be if you weren't having to constantly, "Sup" your competitors? I mean you could look at it like this, either make all of the files extremely harder than the divisions capability(Or for vast majority of the lower/mid tiers of the division more specifically) Or give the whole division a fighting chance(Untill ofcourse the ending rounds) I mean i enjoy the way the tournaments layed out, the songs are fairly mellow at the beginning, but slowly work their difficulty level up. It gives EVERYONE a fighting chance. Just my opinion, not coming at you in an aggressive manner. Cheers~

Enough already. This discussion REALLY doesn't need to go any further than this and started for a really dumb reason.
Minor complaints always turn into trainwrecks and that's why they just need to stop. |

Besides having higher end difficulty songs like 85+ isnt a bad thing considering people in this division are where they are to begin with due to their scores on the scores on those higher end songs. So saying its harder than what they are capable of is kinda lol. Not arguing against you, just responding on some of the things you mentioned. heh Being that the tourn had switched to raw scoring I was kinda hoping it would have started off harder than it did, but oh well. lol Edit: Just another thing to add about it starting off a bit too easy imo, it turns it away from having the skill to pull of the AAA eventually to seeing who is more consistent with AAA'ing and can nail it first try or within a few tries. Only giving a week to play the song, its not like fixing a 1 or 2 good score is the easiest thing to do. Just my looks on it starting off with lower FMOs rather see higher end FMOs that actually take some sort of effort to AAA and not seeing who is more consistent with AAA'ing easier things. Re: 8th Official FFR Tournament - Round 4!
Idea, make the next official bracket style. Person A vs Person B per Division.
2-5 days to do whatever division song. Winner goes through until the semi-file and so forth. ... I would actually like to see that happening honestly, haha. Would it be "unfair"? Yeah... but I think it would make for interesting competition. |

Re: 8th Official FFR Tournament - Round 4!
It's unfortunately impossible for us to just be going off of SM scores since for some people the skill really doesn't translate to FFR. We do take them into some consideration but we can't just be like oh this person can do x on SM they have to be D7 on FFR. I'm an example of someone that can not go from SM to FFR, anytime I play SM then come back I drop down to like a D2 skill level.

Re: 8th Official FFR Tournament - Round 4!
Removing yourself from the tournament after eliminating people who probably worked harder than you is probably the best idea for a flame headed troll xd (i.e. Poison-)

You were warned previously to stop causing drama, yet you kept adding it. I highly doubt that "practice what you fucking preach" doesn't fall under the issue of inciting drama, and a reiteration certainly isn't necessary. Flaming me does nothing, but cause trouble in the thread and inevitably get yourself into bad situations.
Take some time to cool off. |
