Or I work in a doctor's office.
EDIT: It could also be vitamin deficiency. DOUBLE EDIT: Or I could be constipated AND work in a doctor's office. TRIPLE EDIT: What is pooping?

They don't work, just eat oranges and other things that have a high vitamin-c content. Granted I don't trust "supplements" or pills of most kinds, so I guess I'm bias. Though they have never worked for me. |

I'm not constipated I'm still having regular bowel movements even though I haven't eaten anything. I imagine they'll stop soon for that reason.
Vitamin C supplements have helped me before. And I know I don't get enough of it in my diet so I figure I'm doing the right thing. Tass, your sympathy in my time of need is extraordinary. Thank you <3

Re: I think something's wrong with me...
Okay, well, you ruled out 1 of 4 possibilities that I gave, and I'm not a medical professional. Those are just the common causes for loss of appetite that I see in the office.
You should probably get a sleep study, or at least a set of labs. Go see a doctor. EDIT: IF it is vitamin deficiency, it's entirely possible you could have a stomach parasite of some kind. Vitamin deficiency itself doesn't completely explain the lack of appetite, although any fatigue you have would be secondary to that. It would count for your lack of hunger, and the fatigue that you would have if you normally eat vitamin rich food. Makes it hard to pinpoint the problem. If you have fatigue brought on by lack of appetite, it'd be hard to diagnose a sleep disorder because you'd be fatigued anyway. But if your lack of appetite is brought on by sleep disorder, it would explain the fatigue, lack of appetite. Or vitmain deficiency would explain the fatigue, but not lack of appetite. Parasite explains vitamin deficiency, lack of appetite, AND fatigue. Although the odds of you having a parasite are really, really small.

Yeah you have an anti-tapeworm. Just force yourself to eat something.

My stomach was also messed up too to where if I would eat something, It would hurt my stomach all day long. Even if it was like cereal :- /. This is still goin on too, but I am eating. You could also try staying off the speed? FYI, my friend was having the same thing; and he had a super virus that was attacking his immune system. But he was throwing up and stuff. Hope you dont have that, Last edited by Sir_Thomas; 06-5-2008 at 01:18 PM.. |

Re: I think something's wrong with me...
Mal I appreciate the concern but I don't think it's parasites. I thought those made you hungrier because you weren't getting all the calories from the food you eat. My diet is also garbage. I'm well aware that I need more fruit in my diet. Rather, I need some fruit in my diet.
And I'm betting the fatigue is a combination of the vitamins, stress, and that I'm just not sleeping enough. EDIT: Thomas I doubt I have the same thing. Really I think a lot of why I felt crappy today was because I couldn't get much sleep last night because I live next to a radio tower and there was a thunderstorm all night last night. Gets bright and loud as hell when that happens. PS how the hell is this thread getting this much attention haha thanks for the love CC

I searched it through Google and it seemed relative to what you are going through. Third paragraph makes a valid point. |

Liiike I said, see a doctor. I'm just tossing possibilities out there. Still haven't ruled out hypothyroidism, psychosocial issues, or a sleep disorder.
Could be mono, too. You never know. Which is why you should have this CHECKED BY A DOCTOR, GODAMMIT. EDIT: Some parasites kill your hunger. Depends.

Re: I think something's wrong with me...
I really don't recommend forcing yourself to eat. There's a reason you don't want to eat whether you know or not.
It's not lupus, I know that much.

anytime i wasn't feeling well and felt unhungry for some decent time, i would just eat a little of something and felt better after a while.

Re: I think something's wrong with me...
Okay, that's good for you. There's a huge chance your symptoms just resolved, especially if you were going over something mental health wise, or a small bout of the cold. But it doesn't sound like that, at least from what Chaz has said, and forcing yourself to eat when your body is like "no scru u" is a horrible idea.
Or do it. What do I know. I, once again, am not a doctor.

Re: I think something's wrong with me...
Oh hey see a doctor
EDIT: I mean, you don't know what's wrong, I'm not a medical professional, and I can't even see you to give you the half assed physical exam or have the blood to draw labs from. See a real doctor. Don't just rely on me throw bunches of theories up there and then ignore all of them. Medical professsion. Do it.
