Default Need a job? Artists wanted.

I'm assembling a team of artists for ongoing freelance outsourcing. I'll supply you with jobs, as long as you're reliable and quick. Right now I'm looking for logo designers, photo-manipulators, and web designers.

You must be good with both photoshop and illustrator (or other vector based program).

Your main focus will be simple, yet professional quality logos like these:

This isn't a full time thing, just more of an "on-call" deal...but you'll make money, and get experience, and you get supplied with work without even searching for it.

You MUST have a reliable way of keeping in touch (preferably cell phone).

Anyone interested?

I am incredibly interested in doing this.
But, I have never created a logo, or anything that high of quality imho.

Stuff of that caliber is not in my reach just yet.

Let's see what you can do then. Consider this an application for the job.

Design something around that description.

The simplicity yet cleanliness of those logos is impressive.

My logos always look to complex (speak, cluttered) or to merely to empty.

Although I want to do something like this in the future for a living, I don't think I'm up to your expectations nor do I have time but I want to thank you for reaching out to artists who have little to no actual on-job experience and help those individuals perhaps build a portfolio with the works they create for you. This is a big chance, people.

Also, just know that just because you HAVEN'T created something of that quality, doesn't mean you CAN'T. When someone is paying you, you will instantly be 5x better than you are now.

haha. I also have that concept in mind too.
I'm not sure how fast logos are created; I will not finish my "application" today.
Something came up with my gf and I gotta go over:<
So I will get started on it again in about 6 hours.

Most logos take about 45 mins or so. I'll likely have a lot of infographic clients as well, those take 4-10 hours, depending on the amount of information in them. Good money for those though, $80-$300 each.

I'm interested in doing this-- however the only issue is surrounding my availability... I DO usually have time every day to at least do something, and usually I can make time. Once school rolls around, I'll be really into the zone of designing stuff quickly and efficiently (I mean I'm in a graphic design course), so alongside homework I don't see it being too big of an issue, I'd love the extra experience.

I'm naturally a minimalist, so I don't think you can expect clutter from designs by me. I like to focus with less and with composition, plus I think on an abstract level, which might be useful if you want a logo to represent multiple things with a single image to represent them.

So, yes, I'm in, for as much as I can contribute. I'll make time, regardless. It's money, why turn it down 8] more so it's good practice.

I hate when the contest holders choose the worst possible designs in 99designs contests more than half of the ones I've partaken in, that has been the case...

Hmmm. I might look into this. Any chance I could do the "application" as well?

I kind of wanna give this a shot but I'm only good with Photoshop. I haven't really worked with Illustrator too much but I can still make vectors in Ps. (at least i think)

well the thing is with logos you REALLY want to be able to resize the image as much as you want. with a vector in illustrator you will never lose quality due to resizing.

now while you can make something that looks like a vector in photoshop, if you need to resize it to be very large, you will run into problems for the 'vector' will quickly lose it's quality.

I made tons of different variations of this.
Or, rather, I tried to.
